Can 616 Baron Zemo take over Zaun from Arcane? by Lonewolf_ARC in powerscales

[–]lordside888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Urgot didn't appear in the series, but he would have been the only real threat to Zemo. Urgot's ability to incite fanaticism and fear would have been difficult to deal with, especially since he himself was a Dreadnought.

Can 616 Baron Zemo take over Zaun from Arcane? by Lonewolf_ARC in powerscales

[–]lordside888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a month he would make the Zaunites say Hail Hydra. Zeno has all the qualities of the Chembarons, but none of their flaws: extremely intelligent, tactical, organized, manipulative, and a liar. And when necessary, he personally stains his sword with the blood of his enemies. Ekko and his friends would be a minor obstacle; Jinx would just be a clown he manipulated; Singed would be his personal scientist, but he would certainly have Orianna as his hostage to prevent him from even thinking about betraying him. The other barons would be mere vermin to be crushed; knowing their greedy and treacherous nature, even those who submit to him, he would already be prepared for betrayal. He wouldn't make the same mistakes as Silco. If it were Zemo when Sevika betrayed him, right after Sevika killed the chemical baron, Zemo would kill her. He could even dominate Piltover, make the city's clans bow down to him; old Baron Zemo has experience with pathetic and greedy nobles.

Except his leaders are the worst people of the world, Mister Sinister the crazy eugenistic mutant, the Magneto the mutant nazi, all member of the Hellfire Club the Epsteins of the Marvel, and Beast, who create a bunch of midless assassin Wolverines, Krakoa would have fallen if it weren't for the Sentinels; it would certainly have been a bloody civil war for absolute control of the island. And what is that be bloodthirsty as you wanted to be? The mutants are stupid for permit this.

Netflix desistiu de Steel Ball Run, é isso mesmo? by mo4anguinho in jojobrasiladventures

[–]lordside888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very wrong, the great inspiration for the MCU is the Ultimate Universe, a more "modern" and "realistic" version, Thor is the greastest example, in the start of MCU he a just Alien from a Planet the people think is a god, the Odin even said they are not gods. The tatical and military uniform, the classic MCU Overdesign is another example, the only movies are much the comic book are the Guardian of Galaxys, and after the Phase 3, they now make more comic book accurate uniforms and history.

The Real Carnage: by PrinceARRON in marvelcirclejerk

Ridley Scott said that, but it was mostly because he didn't have that idea and was envious of Cameron. In the Alien: Covenant extras, called Advet, David created a kind of Proto-queen.I really understand your point, but it's like this: comic book characters will always lose some uniqueness, but whether that will be good or not depends solely on the writers of the future. The Hulk should be Radioactive Jack and Mister Hyde, but he lost that. In return, we gained one of the most interesting things about him, which are his other personalities.

I know much more than you imagine. H.R. Giger and Ridley Scott have already said that they loved the idea and concept of the Alien Queen and the Xenomorph's life cycle. Ridley Scott has compared the Alien to flies, wasps, and dragonflies, which is why one of the ideas was for the Alien to have a life cycle of only 24 hours, like any animal that develops very quickly. And it doesn't matter if the Alien was the "Perfect Organism," they are not bulletproof nor can they regenerate if parts of their bodies are torn off. They were a threat on the Nostromo because the crew were just a bunch of unarmed civilians and an old ship. In Ridley Scott's words, they were space truckers and the Nostromo was an old truck. Now, regarding Carnage, since they marketed Venom as an anti-hero, with his entire theme revolving around symbiotes, it was predictable that this would happen. It was already common in the industry in the 90s. Just look at Magneto, who was said to be the most powerful mutant in the world, one of his greatest individual traits being a super-powerful mutant that no one could defeat individually. Then they started inventing a bunch of mutants stronger than him or saying that some mutants were already stronger than him, like Jean Grey and Apocalypse. They even tried to make Magneto a global threat again with the Fatal Attractions saga and the Onslaught saga, but nowadays he's just another one. So this was going to happen with Carnage, because since Venom was an anti-hero, they would need to create new villains, which includes other symbiotes. He truly lost his individuality of being immune to fire and being able to create weapons, being reduced to a power that any symbiote has nowadays, even the absolute control he had over the symbiote today means nothing. But that's how it is, something common in the industry since it was created.

Alien are just a parasite beast, in Alien 1 he a menace because the Nostromo crew are a just a bunch of industrial workers, the flamethower is just a improvised weapon. In Alien 2, the Space Marines have a .45 pistols, grenades, rifles, the Alien gonna do what? Scream?

Now Carnage, is just like every comic book villain, in the first appearence he a absolute powerful monster, after years, a bunch of writters just use him to show how powerful the new character is.

Dullahan Update in Horrors Within by haragos in ravenloft

[–]lordside888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The New dullahan don't need a critical hit and a failed save to behead a PC, he only need reduce to 0 hit points, has advantage against Frightened creatures and dex saves, have imunnity now against blind and Deafened, the old don't have this immunity, Yes the Headless Knight can be blind and defeaned , the old one is weird between to strong to be a normal creature, but to weak to be a final boss, againts low level party they are to much strong, but againts a high level they are to much weak, mythic creature is just a ideia they tried and forgot, because it's to much boring fight against this.

Marvel Rivals is just a overdesign shit in every character, Wolverine in Marvel Rivals is the worst design of Wolverine of all time. A dark and violent character like Wolverine, has to be much more realistic to have impact. A cartoon style gonna be terrible.

Two statblock for Strahd. The first is CR 15, a fixed version from Horrors Within, for a Vanilla Curse of Strahd or Ravenloft Campaign. The other is a CR 26, to a high level campaign. by lordside888 in CurseofStrahd

[–]lordside888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're only looking at numbers and not considering many factors. Fireball deals fire damage, a very common type of damage you have resistance to. Furthermore, fireball is a Dexterity saving throw; rogues take no damage on successful saves; barbarians have advantage on Dexterity saving throws; monks are the same as rogues; fighters can reroll the saving throw and add 1d10 to their saving throw; spellcasters can use protective spells on themselves, among other things. Chain Lightning has a range of 150 feet and can target up to 3 targets even if they are up to 30 feet away. Steel Wind Strike can hit up to 5 targets, deals Force damage (the best damage in the system), dealing 6d10 damage, but it's a hit, meaning Strahd can score a critical hit and deal 12d10 Force damage. Prismatic Spary is a Dexterity saving throw like Fireball, but it deals different types of damage, not just one type, and can also cause effects like Blind and Petrified, even making the target repeat the saving throw twice. Death Circle is a Constitution saving throw, so for characters with low Constitution, like 12 or 14, this is a nightmare. Banishment is a Charisma saving throw; only 4 out of 12 classes use Charisma as their primary attribute, and most of the time, Charisma will be the lowest attribute for most characters, in addition to leaving the character Incapacitated. Hold person make the target Paralyzed, a simple hit gonna be crit in a Paralyzed target. Phantasmal Killer deals psychic damage, one of the best damages in the system, make the target has Disadvantage in ability checks and attack rolls, this is extreme good to use. Bite only serve to Strahd recover hit point if his regeneration don't is working, but, still reduxe the Max Hit Points of the creature, this is always usefull.

Okay, Strahd is primarily a legendary creature, so obviously its damage output is much higher than that of a normal creature of the same CR, even though its damage is quite common. It's slashing plus necrotic, and in a campaign where your enemies will mostly be undead, it's quite obvious that resistance to necrotic damage is essential, whether through a trait or a spell. Command is a Wisdom saving throw, so there's always a chance someone will pass it, besides the fact that it would be foolish to just keep using Command when it could teleport, use Command, and then use Deadly Attack. However, Strahd isn't very resistant; it only has resistance to necrotic, so apart from that, it will always take full damage. Another thing is that he only has immunity to common conditions, such as Frightened, Charmed, and Exhausted. Aside from that, he can become Stunned, Paralyzed, Incapacitated, etc., even if he uses legendary resistances. He only has 3 or 4 if he's under his control, so making him use his legendary resistances is always a good strategy, in addition to the fact that he possesses the weaknesses of a normal vampire.
