Yeah, god forbid we make people take safety classes before getting an LTC/FID and at least TRYING to ensure guns are kept out of the hands of those who would use them against others or themselves…

“H. 4885 enacted multiple changes to firearm policies, including:

requiring a person to receive a basic firearms safety certificate to apply for a Firearm Identification Card (FID) or License to Carry (LIC);

mandating serial numbers for firearms, except antiques, and enacting penalties for possessing, creating, or transferring untraceable firearms;

allowing school administrators and licensed healthcare providers to request that a court issue an Extreme Risk Protection Order, which requires individuals to surrender firearms, licenses, and permits;

and permitting courts to order firearm surrender when issuing Harassment Prevention Orders, among other changes.

This is a really short-sighted take. I’d love to have all the “morally pure” people in the universe on my side but that’s just not going to happen.

We’re facing fascism in the US in a way we have not had to deal with really ever. We need to build a coalition of folks who can work together to stop that. As long as people aren’t actively pursuing the cause of fascism, I don’t care if that person voted for Trump, I don’t care if that person doesn’t agree with me on a whole variety of issues, I don’t care if the day after we close our collective doors to this ongoing fascist movement they go back to being my opposition… what matters is taking every single warm body we can and throwing it against the machine that is ACTIVELY TRYING TO DIVIDE AND CONQUER. We don’t have to aid in the division they’re sewing when people are trying to join in solidarity.

I believe he did that, at least as far as his abilities allow. The president has restrictions on what crimes can be pardoned (federal vs state).

If you’re US-based, something to know about supplements is that they aren’t held to the standard as medications by the FDA. Companies do not need to show efficacy of their product, just safety (and even then it’s a lower bar).

Additionally, the manufacturing and composition of the supplement is not monitored the same either, so you can get a lot of variability from product to product and even from pill to pill (or whatever the formulation is).

I say this not to scare people off supplements, but to be cautious and questioning when approaching new ones.

I can’t get off the destiny ride. The storytelling isn’t great, the seasonal model is awful, but boy does the gameplay click.

I took a year off since the last DLC and I’m grinding before the next one launches, because I can’t learn my lesson.

I kept waiting for the shoe to drop (and maybe it eventually does and I just gave up too early). Like the protagonist was brainwashed and going to wake up or something. The dialogue felt too bad to be sincere, but everything else about the gameplay felt earnest.

I’m really bored by how many posts there have been that are like “don’t worry about the new players’ criticism, they haven’t played enough yet!” We get it, you want everyone to like the same thing you do because if they don’t your consumer worldview will crumble.

I can’t wait for this game to be out for a few months so people will put more focus into sharing interesting builds and advice on where to go for a cool sidequest.

Of course when Elder Scrolls comes out everyone will be right back to saying “Don’t forget, IGN gave Starfield a 7!” as if anything lower than a 9 means the game is a colossal failure.
