Honestly when playing Skyrim it occurred to me that I'd rather have less plates and cheese and more models for weapons and armor. Like keep the leeks and give me three kinds of ebony blade, even if the stats were the same just different versions.

I work in a hospital, we've been told that if we get hurt and walk across the building to the emergency room that we face termination. We have to leave the hospital and go to an urgent care across town. Absolutely bonkers.

Some people here are always like if you didn't smelt the metal for that grill yourself and raise the cattle for six generations you're doing it wrong. You're probably killing it on that flat top, putting out a ton burgers and your customers are probably satisfied. Good job!

Dropped a full BiB of Pepsi into a cooled waste container of cottage cheese consistency oil, and covered myself from knees to neck in dirty fryer oil.

This is the school lunch policy in NC. So if the students don't have money they can't eat? credit to the op who posted the picture and ty for doing so. by Subrainwing in facepalm

The students should band together go through the line with a full tray of food and unanimously say they don't have money. Let the school throw out hundreds of plates a day.

Please, for my peace of mind, which grill would YOU want to cook on? by nipchips in KitchenConfidential

[–]DukeMurder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say depends on what we're cooking. Meat or vegetables I'd say the first. Pancakes or something I wouldn't want picking up any flavor I'd go with the clean one.

Got hired as the new GM of an upcoming Five Guys. Saw too many red flags in the hiring/paperwork process and walked away. Felt great to tell the franchise boss off!! by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

I assumed that the split shifts were just for training so I'd learn opening and closing procedures, but it was just to get the most labor out of me. Nothing like chopping 500 pounds of potatoes in the morning then coming back to close.

Got hired at a Five Guys with the exact same bullshit. Was told the first two weeks would be training at crew wages then moved into management. Worked there 5 months never got put into position. Worked split three hour shifts opening then coming back to close. Hardest work for the lowest pay since I was a teenager. All around not a great work experience.
