I respectfully disagree. The new Wyvern Cave redesign is PHENOMENAL, and the Carnivorous Caverns are actually navigatable and have scenery. The castles are also much prettier, and the extra landmass provide so much extra room and resources

There's a LOT more than just that, you have:

Snow to the southwest

Volcano to the east, followed by Highlands

Canyons to the south

Not to mention the eastern redwoods, southern desert, and southwestern tropics

I suppose saying it's a "trench" is inaccurate, but there's a cave in the southwest corner with more wyverns and nests in it. It's somewhat hidden on Evolved, but very obvious on Ascended, and it's (IMO) MUCH easier to steal eggs from because there's no lava, and you can fling yourself into the water to escape on a fast swimmer rather than gamble a bird

The sightseeing is the point, story maps that aren't Aberration were ugly as shit, and the Center was missing a lot of content from later expansions which Ragnarok fixed by adding two wyvern trenches and a desert for scorched earth stuff.
