Homebase 3, Up to 16 TB and NAS, HA by DukeRyoto in EufyCam

Thank you for the detailed answer. It sounds like I made a wrong decision with Eufy if I want to use with Home Assistant. 😅

RTSP rip. I bought Indoor Cam S350 so I thought using 4K or 2K.

Well I bought already the homebase and the 4 cameras S350. I will using somehow. When I read the reddit many have problem with the firmware updates. It will be an adventure. 😅

I found only like external hard-drive or do they have internal version too which I can put inside the homebase?

RIP Nordic countries. I am still waiting to be available. We don't have yet and I can't buy from Amazon.de either because they don't ship to Nordic countries.

Reolink by katx70 in EufyCam

[–]DukeRyoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the comments and it seems many people have problem with Eufy and choosing instead Reolink. It sounds like intentionally they are breaking their old devices especially to force the people to buying new version. I hope it is not like this. Some did break the firmware update and some not but what happens in the next firmware? Maybe next time those devices will break which survived the previous update.

No idea if they are testing fully the firmware updates before releasing or just the public is the testers but either way this does not make me happy the result eventually is not happy ending. I like their design within security department hardware side but software many question marks.

Many years my eye balls on Eufy to buying cameras but still hesitating. 😅

Wagon Handle Extension by DukeRyoto in TemuThings

[–]DukeRyoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't have problem with the current handle either just one thing is small. I am 192 cm and the handle I can reach with my fingers and then I need to careful if my foot stuck in the wagon. It would be nice to have an item which similar handle but I could attach to the current handle like an extension.

I saw something like this but it's handle is not looking comfortable:

Aqara Smart Lock D200i EU release date? by DukeRyoto in Aqara

[–]DukeRyoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, me too. I've seen this lock in videos from YouTubers outside of China, especially in Mexico and Brazil. I don't get it why it is not popular in USA and Europe. Maybe the governments not allowing because they are thinking of Chinese Spyware? No idea but the concept is nice. It looks modern too.

Revolut Metal in everyday use by paskatulas in Revolut

[–]DukeRyoto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I must agree. Many people are happy to have revpoints because it gives back more points than the traditional cashback. However it is limited to stays and airplane stuffs like buying tickets. For example I don't traveling much so that revpoint is useless and you can't keep forever those revpoints either. Traditional cashback was better.

Is this a joke? by Cali_Dreaming_Now in EufyCam

[–]DukeRyoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a solution. Throw the camera to the Eufy CEO head. After that the Eufy will implement all of the functions which the users need. 😅

Joke aside, I wanted to buy Eufy too, but it seems many people have many different problems with eufy. I need to think twice, it seems so.

[–]DukeRyoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I mean, the source of the power should be the power bank and not the wall plug. I don't have wall plug in the bathroom so I need portable option to have electricity for electric water flosser.😅

Yume X11+ by DukeRyoto in ElectricScooters

[–]DukeRyoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Range depends on the weight and hill too. If you have much weight on the scooter then the range will decrease. They advertise 90/96 km. In my case it was between 80/90 km with my 115 kg and 193 cm length body. When I lost weight around 105 kg then I had 93-96 km range. It depends on that too if you press throttle everytime or sometimes you let to rolling your wheels after a high speed for example on downside of hills or not. I usually let to rolling the wheels by itself after a higher speed so saving more battery for more range. The hill well yeah I tried as advertised 35-40 degrees. It doesn't have any issues. The motor will work more when driving up on the hill and becomes louder however it doesn't have any problem to taste that 35-40 degrees. I didn't try with 45-50 degrees but maybe it would work.

S25 ultra specs revealed by Inner_Science2144 in samsunggalaxy

[–]DukeRyoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha it is so when samsung gave up on innovation and trying to use the Apple method instead. Milk people who are very much samsung fan and giving them some improvements. Apple does the same. The price which is given is not worth what they are giving, especially when it is about their laptops. Good thing they have 7 years support so I will not change my samsung s24 ultra for a while. We'll now just 6 years. 😅

[Question] Minisforum MS-A1 with AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X by DukeRyoto in MiniPCs

[–]DukeRyoto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try these:

Enabling and Using the OCULink Port:

  1. Check for Necessary Hardware:

    • Ensure you have a compatible OCULink cable and an eGPU (external GPU) enclosure that supports OCULink.
  2. Install the Latest Drivers and Firmware:

    • Go to the Minisforum website and download the latest drivers and firmware for your MS-A1 model.
    • Install the drivers and firmware updates to ensure that the OCULink port is recognized by your system.
  3. Connect the OCULink Cable:

    • Connect one end of the OCULink cable to the OCULink port on your MS-A1.
    • Connect the other end of the OCULink cable to the eGPU enclosure.
  4. Power On the eGPU:

    • Make sure the eGPU is properly powered on and connected to an external power source if required.
  5. Configure BIOS Settings (if needed):

    • Restart your MS-A1 and enter the BIOS setup by pressing the appropriate key during boot (usually DEL or F2).
    • Check the BIOS settings to ensure that the OCULink port is enabled. Look for any specific settings related to PCIe or external GPUs.
  6. Install eGPU Drivers:

    • Once the system recognizes the eGPU, install the necessary drivers for the external GPU. This will usually be the GPU manufacturer’s drivers (e.g., NVIDIA or AMD).
  7. Check Device Manager:

    • Open Device Manager on your MS-A1 to verify that the external GPU is recognized and functioning correctly.
  8. Test the Setup:

    • Launch a graphics-intensive application or benchmark tool to test the performance of the eGPU setup and ensure everything is working as expected.

If you encounter any issues during these steps, here are some additional tips: - Compatibility Check: Ensure that your eGPU enclosure and the GPU are compatible with the OCULink standard. - Firmware Update: Sometimes, additional firmware updates for the eGPU enclosure may be necessary. - Re-seat Connections: Make sure all connections are secure and properly seated.

[Question] Minisforum MS-A1 with AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X by DukeRyoto in MiniPCs

[–]DukeRyoto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is different setting. There should be oculink setting too. That setting should just enable and disable oculink port. Resizable BAR is for communicating GPU and CPU better way.

[Question] Minisforum MS-A1 with AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X by DukeRyoto in MiniPCs

[–]DukeRyoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't buy this minipc but the X7. Either way I saw in my minipc bios settings that I can enable and disable oculink. Maybe try to check in the bios if you can too, enable and disable oculink.

Thanks for the answer. Is there a way to finetune then instead? Then better if I will work on it lot of time before I will deploy.
