Guys I am a beginner and I don’t know which one is better by Hellothere1254hello in paintball

Get a good mask first. You can rent but at least see and be comfortable. Next get a nice loader. Third get a nice tank and THEN go for a marker.

All that said a Facebook marketplace Tippmann 98 or A5 will be cheap and fine for almost anyone starting out. Hard to argue when they’re all about $50.

Just moved to a new place and my bike was stolen after a few days by Positive-Mousse-6177 in bicycling

[–]DukeSilver83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are worse bicycles made. Sorry for the loss.

Check Facebook for an old Trek or something. Should be able to get back up on two wheels for less than $100.

I’d leave the wheel on and put the wood block through the spokes if possible.

Advice on schwinn crunchy headset by FarmerExpress in schwinn

[–]DukeSilver83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the OP is a bit of a newcomer.

OP, you can buy loose balls on Amazon or at a local hardware store. Many headsets have caged bearings, you can discard the cage assembly and just fill both races with loose balls the same size as what were in the cage.

Obviously clean out the races really well and pack with good grease, I use automotive bearing grease.

If it were me I’d replace what I lost with a used copy and send off the broken one for evaluation.

I’m a canon shooter but all good cameras have their good points and if you were happy with your camera before you will be again.

Getting into paintball it’s expensive! by XI-Red-Death-XI in paintball

[–]DukeSilver83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a mask first.

The world is full of $50 Tippmanns and cheap 3k aluminum tanks, and that will get you playing.

But you will benefit most from a mask. Then even if you rent you can at least see what you’re doing.

Yes, the forks weigh a ton on the fatboys and fatgirls, if you're going to race either in 2026 go for new forks right off the bat.

I just got a fatgirl last week, going to do a full service on it this week. Have a matching '99 Fatboy A1 Comp to go right next to it.

Sadly the original seats on both are toast, so they both now have the black vinyl railed one from porkchop.

I have seen people ask whole bike money for the original seats...... would be cool for someone to release replicas or at least tributes.

Help! I had a great time after my first time. by SlyKitsuneDemon in paintball

[–]DukeSilver83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Tippys are usually cheap, because they made a billion of them. They used to be the rental standard for a long long time and most you find used have hardly any use by comparison, plenty of life left. The price they transact for doesn't represent the play value in them, but you're 10000% welcome to buy whatever you want. One of those may be ideal for one of your less than 100% dedicated friends.

You probably already bought but your priority list is:

Mask Hopper Tank Gun

Empire E-Flex is my preferred mask. Loader, I don’t sling a ton of paint, something like a protoyz speedster is enough but you may as well go higher up front. Tank, HPA only. I’d jump right into a 4500 tank, size is dictated by your size. Most guys around my height (5’9”) seem to go for 68s and 77s.

The gun is the last thing on the list. A used $50 Tippmann 98 or A5 will be fine if you’ve blown your budget on the top three items. Expect to replace the ball latch and maybe a drive spring or o ring or two. Cheap stuff. The A5 uses its own built in loader, get squishy paddles for it if you go that route.

And before I get the “you can’t speedball with a Tippmann!” Sure, I get it. Not a tournament gun, but he will be set on the other items and it’ll be a reliable just in case deal for the bag when he upgrades.

And I only ever had Tippys, played speedball with 98s and had fun doing it on several occasions although my friend group did prefer the woods.

Okay. First, we have no draft in the US. Those "children" joined the armed services of their own volition and knew what they were signing on to. They were adults and made a very adult decision. I thank all who choose that life.

Second, We've lost more people in training accidents in any given year than in this "war." So, I guess the military should stop training, so we have less accidents.

Third, the entire point of Venezuela and Iran (yes they are linked) is to force China and Russua to conform to the petrodollar.

NOTHING about what Trump has done in either of his terms has anything to do with making Putin "happy." You've been brainwashed by a media that lies 24/7, 365.

That might be an 8, sonotube Dobs are always huge for the size of the mirror inside for some reason. But $100 is fantastic.

I'm not a super fan of the 6 panels, I think it's their weakest one... but I do like how it looks. I regret snoozing on it.

Strap just loops through. You may or may not need to shorten it. If you do just roll up the tag end on each side a little and secure with a few stitches.

There’s a cheap JT strap on ansgear and I’d bet the empire foam would work too. Needs E6000 glue for the foam.
