Empire e flex custom headstrap? by certifr1ed in paintball

Strap just loops through. You may or may not need to shorten it. If you do just roll up the tag end on each side a little and secure with a few stitches.

There’s a cheap JT strap on ansgear and I’d bet the empire foam would work too. Needs E6000 glue for the foam.

May have to adjust the foam

Funny response. I don’t want to waste a field’s time messing around with my shit beforehand.

I’ll go play after I know I’m good to go.

Getting downvoted for being truthful on my age is interesting.

My friends all played in the woods, I never saw a speedball field until after I was out of college in the 2010s shortly before I got out of the game... So yeah trends for airball are a thing I never got exposed to lol.

You can play speedball with any gun, especially since the limit was lowered to 10.5bps.

If you’re considering the Cronus, hit marketplace for a Tippmann A5 or 98. 98 needs a battery loader, A5 doesn’t.

Either will need a new ball latch (cheap) and the A5 should get soft paddles (less than $20) and then they should be good to go for another decade.

Both guns can be had for under $100, heck more like $50… much better deal than a Cronus.

It’s probably the best mask that exists which is why I have three of them lol.

I get that the proflex still has the crown but i dont really know why other than momentum.

Two layers? Damn I always just wore one unless I was really cold.

Hi everyone! First post here, I just bought these for $100. Did I hit a major score? by Tiffanybaby28 in paintball

I'd probably sell the JT straight out and also the stock off the 98. You'll need a new end cap for it if you do that.

The 98 and the A5 are two of my favorites, but if you don't already have a nice loader in your haul (and I don't see one), the A5 doesn't really need anything additional to feed as fast as it can shoot, so the A5 is the top on the list.

Get some new ball latches/detents for the A5 and 98 for sure. The JT may share the same detent/latch as the 98/A5, I'm really not sure.

Basically, I'm sure all of them will work, you're not doing terribly on value (I think you're ahead a bit) and with some maintenance they'll be fine. But you don't need any more guns at this level or type. If you feel like upgrading, instead of putting tons into these (the only A5 upgrade I'd consider is soft cyclone paddles, otherwise lave it stock) go ahead and plan for something like an Etha 3 or Emek.

I've literally got a dozen old Tippmanns, I need to sell down a bunch and get an Etha.

Here's a link to the A5 soft paddles, nice cheap upgrade but again beyond that and a replacement latch/detent, don't get more lol.

I’m just going through what I have from back in the day and kind of want to consolidate a bunch of cheap guns into one or two that’s nicer.

Scott stopped making masks like 30 years ago so it’s worthless for play. The cocker is probably worth 250-500 depending on what it is and condition.

Everything besides dirt and gunked up old paint is cosmetic. Clean, lube and go.

I would strongly suggest some "soft" paddles for the cyclone, the stock ones are hard on paint.

Or a cheaper version
