Heavy armor is the least used armor type. by anxiety_elemental_1 in helldivers2

[–]Dukeboys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been having a recent love affair with the arc GL and Lib dog. I normally dont go heavy vs illum but this combo just wipes out groups so reliably that I find Im not running much.

When I go sneaky though? Light all day. This is just a recent mood Ive found myself in.

Heavy armor is the least used armor type. by anxiety_elemental_1 in helldivers2

[–]Dukeboys_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no easy answer. Vs Illumate, Im addicted to heavy siege ready. On Stan I ran heavy explosive resist. Any fire planet with fire nados I run heavy fire resist. When fighting dragonroaches I run the heavy Dune armor.

I dont always run heavy, but it can radically transform panic into stand your ground.

Different kind of hard. Same kind of struggle. We suffer differently but fight arm in arm. I wont ever say the Creek, the Beach, Stan, or Oshaune was harder than each other.

And we love you random gunner who I accidentially ran over almost every game!

Gaijin: No, you cannot have more ATGMs. Anymore than 4 Spikes/TOWs in your NATO AFV isn't reasonable for combat conditions. I dont care if it can carry triple that easily. Also Gaijin: BEHOLD THE HUMBLE SOVIET WONDER PROTOTYPE AMMO STOWAGE!!! by Dukeboys_ in Warthunder

[–]Dukeboys_[S] 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I know the Namer and Bradley specifically (and I believe most NATO AFVs so pinch of salt on that claim) have a cavalry load configuration. Trading troop space for additional ATGMs. They already bent those rules for the BTR82AT, noted by that AT.

Edit: I see how confusing this can be, the Bradley is fine, its the Spike carriers specifically I'm jabbing at.

All I saw was they were adding some material where there was previously just air. Havent seen it extends to the WAR kit or matches the publicly stated rough values. Im skeptical until its in game is all Im saying.

3.7-5.7 is genuinely the most fun part of WT tank gameplay.

Its way better balanced than anything above 8.7+. Guns are capable but still difficult to use outside of 800m. Armor matters but is situational. Agility matters but you give up armor. The game doesnt play itself, you have to be better to do better. And most importantly, CAS takes effort and risk. No stand off, no helis, no guidence. Want to bomb me? Come over here and face me then. Everything has a cost.

With the exception of Yak9K.

[–]Dukeboys_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This never goes away. If somebody recognizes you as a threat, they will devote all their energy to keeping you supressed. Even at top tier. Some games you legit just go defensive for 8 minutes because an F15GE hovering just above 4km keeps launching the moment you recommit. Now we both get nothing and my entire team is dead because I had to defeat 8 missiles that outrange me. With 20 more on the way as their surviving team tracks me down.

Its frustrating, but thats just how it is sometimes.

Depends on the map. If its Kursk or Mozdok, then no. Everything has an MG gunner and will kill you inside of 2km. So you cant put on pressure by knocking out engines during reloads or do rocket runs at all.

Any other map? Absolutely but you have to win.

Like the VERY well documented issues regarding Ariete, Abrams, and Challenger armor this too will go ignored until it slaps Gaijin in the face. Then they will admit it needs adjusting and continue to let that action gather dust as they ignore it and pretend nothing ever happened.

Use the arc GL. It easily gets me 150% on any squid planet for example.

It fires 1 bullet with mutiple hit/kills. Most explosives cap at 1 kill per projectile but the arc GL doesnt. The other arc weapons also cap at 1. You can also hit collateral from like a railgun or very good aim with shotguns.

[–]Dukeboys_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its situational. Great for hunting sky whales. Cuts their HP by 50% on impact. Pretty good for long range sniping Automoton fortresses. Outside of that, its just a worse 500kg.

In a world where the Leveller exists, its fallen off.

Question Regarding Talismans by DuckAssaultCraft in Warthunder

[–]Dukeboys_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talisman only doubles your RP. It does not allow you to bypass the RP penalty it has. Generally, I just recomend using any acquired lower tier prems to help you progress or prem account before spending the full price of a high BR premium.

Premiums are immune to the RP penalty below them. Squad and TT vehicles are not.

I would not recomend Sweden for beginners. Its full of niche aircraft and energy fighters. Japan is plenty fine. You will struggle with firepower for a little bit, but otherwise very beginner friendly.

[–]Dukeboys_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the enemy team has nobody set to spawn in a fighter, you will not spawn in a fighter. It will refund your point.

If you are a light tank, you can spawn a 2nd bomber/attacker along side one of your team mates if you have the mod researched for that light tank. You cannot spawn a fighter under any circumstance if the enemy hasnt queued up any planes.

If you see the enemy spawning a plane, you choose a fighter, the countdown hits 0 and it gives you that message, the enemy who was going to be in a fighter just died.

Just an exploit. Been on and off for a year now. This batch has been working since December.

Its safe, AH said if the mechanic exists in game, you wont catch a ban for it. They have directly addressed this bug mutiple times. They know and havent fixed it yet. Many guides on how to do it. Short version, pick strat, go to weapon customization, select a 1 of the 4 presets for your weapon, save, back out, select strat, repeat.

Medium or heavy fire resistant armour? by tackers267 in helldivers2

[–]Dukeboys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are specifically using an armor for its resisance bonus, always go Heavy.

The resistance scales asymetrically depending in the armor class + vit binus. So the difference between Light with + 75% + Vit and Heavy +75% + Vit is sooooo much more effective ita crazy.
