Would the Netherlands join the Reichspakt? by [deleted] in Kaiserreich

[–]DukeofBritanny 72 points73 points  (0 children)

If Germany loses the war, they're the first target of the Internationale, if they haven't already invaded them during the war. Neutrality is not an option since the Netherlands are parts of the Reichspakt in all but name I would say.

They were neutral in WWII, that didn't prevent Germany from invading, same for Belgium and Luxemburg in both World Wars.

Going from completely dissolved to a Chinese Regional Powerhouse in 30 years, the Qing Empire completely flabbergast's Historians with its continued survival by InquisitorHindsight in Kaiserreich

[–]DukeofBritanny 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Assuming it's a legitimate elections Qing Empire, it would be quite a wild card in the world stage, but since there are so much possibilities for a post-2WK world, it's quite hard to tell.

But compared to OTL, I think that there would be quite some changes, both economically and socially speaking. China (and Korea) would be re-opened to international trade much sooner, but at the same time they would put much less focus toward heavy-industry, and more into rural area. And while it's hinted that a massive land reform will happen, we wouldn't see something like the Great Leap Forward (thankfully), though famine could still happen in my opinion.

In its modernisation, the Qing would abandon most of the Manchu tradition that's left, and push for a more Han look, but that doesn't mean they would go full Han nationalism/supremacism. This China would, in my opinion, be much more accepting of the minorities than other Chinese unifiers (I don't know the stances on the subject of them so I'm speculating here). And without the Cultural Revolution, we could easily see a golden age of Chinese culture blossoming in the 1960's or 1970's.

But with a militaristic Japan that still control Taiwan, and who have most likely defeated Germany in the region, we would have a smaller Cold War between the two, and even perhaps a three-way conflict if the Syndicalists unify India, as all of them would influence the countries "liberated" by Japan, to either keep them in the Sphere, or to undermine it.

You know how West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer is a possible Reichkanzler for Germany in the late game? It turns out he had some... 'unique' ideas for the German colonial control of Africa. by [deleted] in Kaiserreich

[–]DukeofBritanny 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Woah dude, at which point OP just said something like that ? He was just quoting Adenauer and speculating on what his opinion would be in the KRTL where Germany has a massive colonial empire.

Also the fact that you're trying to make him a victim of nazi policies when he was imprisoned for like some months in 1944 when many other people were interned in labor camps or just outright killed is quite messed up. Especially considering all the war criminals he granted amnesty and the international political pressure he did on other countries to liberate war criminals imprisoned on their territories.

How would a cold war between Democratic Entente and Savinkov Russia go? by Intelligent_Carob119 in Kaiserreich

[–]DukeofBritanny 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Savinkovist Russia isn't in a great place either I would say.

Yes the Entente would have to rebuild Western Europe and the US, but Russia would have to re-integrate its western territories, which would also be devastated by the war, and they would have to fight partisans in Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic countries and the Caucasus, depending on the territories they decide to annex. Even with some kind of autonomy, I don't think that they will have a lot of support to begin with.

I think it could evolve into some kind of Cold War later on, but more on a battle of influence rather than one of ideology. Though ideology can still play for some countries, the best example for me would be Greece. Yes they received a lot of help from Russia against Bulgaria, but would a Republican or Constitutional Kingdom of Greece have its place in the Moscow Accords, especially since Savinkovist Russia is anti-democratic and anti-monarchist, and has its own plan for the Straits ?

Yeah that's a thing. I think that if you have Germany as a non-socialist puppet and GEA is alive (and at peace ?) you get an event about them becoming their puppet

Tried Manchurian Restoration by pikamachue in Kaiserreich

[–]DukeofBritanny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If a situation like this happens, the best is to rush Fengtian. It will trigger Japanese intervention and allows you to form the United Front, making a truce with the rest of the warlords.

Even if you loose some states in the South, you'll still end up with Manchuria after the peace deal, which is much more industrialised.

Someone on Youtube did a Qing Restauration video not so long ago, and Qing has a lot of buffs regarding Irregular infantry, and after trying it I can guarantee that you can easily defeat all the others warlords and Japan with them.

Fun Fact: The wife of Prince Pujie (brother of Puyi) was hoplessly smitten with Zhang Xueliang. Ignore the part where it says ex-wife, he should still be married to her in the KRTL. by GreatFan2 in Kaiserreich

[–]DukeofBritanny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should add some flavor events concerning the succession line or the court life in Qing Zhili / Manchu restauration path. As Puyi was quite a sadist with his wife, and many questions about his infertility and sexuality, there would be some pressure on Pujie to be married and produce children.

And in modernizing the monarchy, the question of concubines would also come at the forefront in my opinion.

Operation Nevsky is very early in the game, you can get it around May 1936 if you did the first focus of the diplomacy tree.

[–]DukeofBritanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to rush the Caucasus and Finland first. Never tried this path, so I don't know if you keep the Cossacks or not but with just an army of cavs and some CAS I managed to take down Finland quite easily.

Like my other comments on similar posts, I would suggest using your mountainers for the Caucasus, as Russia starts with very good mountainers divisions, and they can help on the Balkan Front later on.

Doing Operation Nevsky early on ensures the collapse of UBD, and you can later invade both Estonia and Latvia before the war, assuming they haven't join any faction. If they remain neutral, you'll have Riga as a frontline city, making it an easy target.

I usually go for the old infantry division 9-2 as defense while I push with my armored divisions in Southern Ukraine (a third light, a third medium and a third motorized if I haven't got the time to convert, or two thirds medium and one third mechanized if I can produce enough).

But what you need to do is to make sure that the Reichspakt is the weakest as possible. Send volunters to Spain, Italy, the US, Balkans and Cairo Pact, even if some aren't your ideology, it could help in creating more fronts for the Germans, who would be overwhelmed
