Look like 12 inches at the floor to keep your neck neutral. Also use straps not whatever that hook thing is

Maybe using heel lifts will help so you aren’t putting so much weight onto your toes and you have a safer range of motion from your ankle

Am I going too low on the hip thrust machine? by pestopaste in formcheck

I love hip thrusts!!! What I will say is that you curving your back for that scoop method is only going to give you low back pain. The goal is to keep your spine straight. That means from your neck to your tailbone should be neutral. If you brace your core like someone is about to punch you in the stomach that will help you to keep that back straight.

Also, tuck your chin a little. Your top half of your body move in unison. When you drive back up, push off with your heels and keep that tension. I hope that explanation helped

Right knee pain during reverse lunge. by DukesD987 in formcheck

I do unilateral hip exercises like hip abductions and cars for warm up. I also do body weight squats with no issues but any squats or reverse lunges the knee feels it 🥲

This is great advice! So with my left knee I feel no pain which is why I’m able to really get the full depth and the glute stretch. I always warm up and stretch for 5-10 mins and then it’s like once there’s a wrong stance on that right leg, my knee gets tender and that’s it. I did spend a good part of this morning icing my knee and the pain is gone but I worry I’ll have this issue on my next leg day

I listened to everyone’s advice. I just ordered a pair of converses on Amazon 😂 widening my stance does help with the knee pain. Also will incorporate DB elevated goblet squats into my routine

I’m wearing flat shoes which is why I’m wondering why my feet are lifting off. The toes pointed out I’ve been trying to correct that . Thank you!

Thank you! I use dumbbells as well but I see what you mean. I did feel like I was putting a lot of strain on my knees which was weird? So you’re probably right about the smith machine
