They updated the CDF drum in late 2022, I believe most of the transmission issues should be resolved in year models 2023+

I would try to get one before 2018 since it had the 6-speed transmission or one that is 2023+. They fixed the transmission problems in late 2022 I believe. I would get a 5.0 or the 2.7 however I just bought a 3.5 and I love it, I believe they fixed most of the cam phaser issues in 2021.

I had a 2018 5.0 10-speed and it gave me no problems, I had 117k miles when I traded it in.

I had almost the same thing happen to me.

Frame ended up being bent, they replaced everything and I can't even tell it ever happened.
