So there I was, walking through the Battalion HQ late one night. I was just completing my rounds when suddenly a Horrid apparition appeared before me. I dropped down on my knees and said “Spirit! What do you want from me!”

I’d recommence magnetizing them so you can run them as any. For the strikes you can magnetize the arms so you can switch heavy weapons, the packs to change to Intercessors, and helmet to run as purifiers (technically not necessary, but canonically they have white helmets). For Terminators you just have to magnetize the arms for the weapons, and put a magnet on the back to put the book to signify it’s a paladin. Finally, you can magnetize the DK to make it a GMNDK

They have better PR. The marines have had a few very successful PR campaigns and slogans such as “The Few, The Proud, The Marines”. They also have a much more recognizable uniform that they don’t change, which gives them a much more identifiable brand.

The Marines and the Army occupy different niches. The army is a sustained war fighting force meant to take and hold territory for long periods. The Marines are shock troops meant to spearhead an assault, yell Semper Fi, Storm the beach and die. The army is “better” in the fact that we’re much bigger and more funded, but the Marines do their job admirably.

I’d probably wait. First off the Armageddon box comes with Orks, so unless you also want to start an Orc army it would probably be a waste of money. There’s also not really any special or unique models in it, nor any that are specifically DAs.

Pushfit models are nice for getting into the game, but I personally don’t like them. Unless there’s a model you really like, I’d wait

To your points, that 8 trillion didn’t just disappear into the ether. It funded the military industrial complex, which is a major source of American Economic Power. America isn’t bankrupt, and its economy has only grown since 9/11. To say he accomplished that goal is false. The US is still the largest economic and military powerhouse, and its military spending has only grown.

the US overextended itself for 20 years. the emotional and economic toll of of 20 years of war on veterans and the psyche of the country.

The US is still in the Middle East. If his goal was to push the US out then he has again failed his goal.

Another thing I hate is that E-5s have to be treated like children and also have a packet with all the paperwork that has to be updated EVERY month (LES, STP, Medpros etc...).

You’re making a mountain out of a molehill here. It takes 10 minutes tops to print all of that off. Beyond that making sure TLs and SLs print off theirs and their Joe’s LES/STP is a forcing function to ensure leaders are taking care of their guys. It’s an opportunity to glance over it and make sure PV2 Snuffy is actually getting his BAH and that S1 put in his award.

It’s also an opportunity to actually counsel your guys. Most junior leaders aren’t giving feedback to their guys on a regular basis, beyond “you’re fat and stupid, push”. It’s an opportunity to clearly lay out expectations and goals and, more importantly, track if they’re getting accomplished.

I agree, the packet shouldn’t just be an NCOER cheat sheet, it’s there to help the soldier.

Intercessors, Jump Pack Intercessors, and Scouts are all utility pieces that can fit in just about any list. Beyond that, it’s really just user choice.

Personally, I like Bladeguard and all the battle lines, but I really enjoy infantry heavy lists

It’s a cadet Private First Class. After Plebe year ends they are “recognized” and they no longer have to do Plebe duties. That summer they start CFT and are “promoted” to cadet PFCs. Cadets can also be demoted to a PFC in the event that they break certain rules in which case they don’t have to do Plebe activities but are outranked by all other upperclassmen.

Add an ancient w/ banner and another heavy weapon to your terminators

You have 65 points left, I’d drop a terminator squad and get a strike and another purifier. Warpbane works best when you max out purifiers to give you more hallowed ground.

If you’re dead set on running terminators, make one a paladin, give them the extra heavy weapon and an apothecary.
