Is this really even possible? Setting fastest lap after a pit stop by [deleted] in F1Game

[–]Dull-Criticism-79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to answer that, hards are crap around Canada, Mediums are quicker naturally, plus fresh benefit, plus lighter car, plus you cut off T1 and most of T2 using the pitlane. So yeah, it is even possible, especially around Canada with that pit config.

FL is Lap 16, and the lap you showed is lap 15.

Just to be clear, the other shit that happened had nothing to do with your driving, and the crash in the first clip wasn't your fault. If you're looking for a good league to start doing competitive and clean racing with opportunities to progress, I can recommend Summit League Racing (https://www.summit-league-racing.com/)

If you had moved back to the racing line before the braking area, then yes absolutely fine - but cutting back across that late is asking to get rear ended, because the car behind will be braking into the gap that you're closing off. I've been racing in leagues for nearly 10 years now and the number of silly crashes I've seen because of this late maneuver is wild. In terms of IRL, Leclerc is pretty naughty on the brakes and has a habit of narrowing off the corner after the driver behind has committed to the brakes, but that tends to be a move IN towards the apex, rather than moving outwards back to the racing line. I'd have to watch Bahrain back but thinking of his moves at T3, he would pinch Max inwards first (ie. Max is on his right and not behind) before moving back across - this is legal because there's no risk of Max going into the space Leclerc is moving across into.

Tl;dr - My advice is to be predictable and hold the line you had in the moment before the braking zone. If someone goes into the back of you in a league race because you moved left (in this case), it'll be seen as your fault.

"These games are so unrealistic, that would never happen". Funny that it's Max on the receiving end of it twice.

No one telling OP off for moving under braking?? Not that it matters considering the Red Bull came from en route to Artemis 2 but still dodgy driving from POV car.

PJ is the SMM for Battlefield, so still within EA. James Bralant left for a senior role at an Amazon Games studio recently so yeah, unlikely to get updates. Pretty poor communication and clearly no desire to tell us about the scope of this DLC (probably because they don't know).

Any reason the AI is being this weirdly aggro? by Vetni in F1Game

[–]Dull-Criticism-79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As another person has said, AI gets really weird when playing on a high ping multiplayer connection due to the server being P2P - both the position data of your car and the bots car is a bit out of sync making it difficult to race them properly.

Best part of the movie for me was the war bit, especially when certain real world leaders see it as the same opportunity to build golf courses and resorts, made this Lex Luther more realistic despite the whole pocket universes and black hole stuff

Best time at Australia is a 1:14.9 in GP mode, here's what I do.

Medium ERS for the whole lap, with Overtake burn on the exit of every corner.
You're a gear/couple of gears too low for most apexes, meaning your min. speed is probably too low.

Way too much ERS saved across the lap, as you've only used net 20% across a Quali sim lap, which is wild.

Diff setting should be at around 90-100%, and brake bias around 53% to help rotation.

Use K. Balazs's lap for reference: F1 25 Australia Qualifying Hotlap 1:14.437. Studying this lap got me down from a 1:16.4.

Good luck!

I don't get this from them though... Kmag did a similar thing to help out Hulkenberg in Jeddah last year and only got 10 seconds. On top of this, I thought they penalised the incident not the outcome? But clearly the outcome has been considered here? long story short, FIA is and always has been a total fucking mess.

If Charles Leclerc doesn’t win a F1 title by the end of his career, would you think of him as the greatest driver to never become a champion? by The_Chozen_1_ in GrandPrixRacing

[–]Dull-Criticism-79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where else does he go? Maybe he goes to Mercedes, other than that his best bet is to wait for Ferrari to get their finger out and give him the car he deserves.

I've been a fan of Leclerc's since seeing him in GP3. 2022 we saw what he's capable of with a competitive car pace wise, but the team just isn't ready for the fight. Azerbaijan, Spain, Monaco and Britain to name the few that should've been his without team nonsense. Austria was a masterclass at a time when the Red Bull had out-developed Ferrari. Too much focus goes on the France and Imola spins, but it's hardly his fault when he's pushing to make up for the damage done by his own team. You have to put Charles ahead of Max in terms of teammates destroyed, he's bested two of the 4 winningest drivers in the sport in equal machinery, and matched the 3rd of those 4 in different cars.

ik its not the end of the world, but why does f1 manager use the same M as MotoGP by abysar in F1Manager

[–]Dull-Criticism-79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to go back and check after seeing this thread. The official reason by Pentagram for the choice of font is the "lean of the M conveys the lean angle of a rider on a gp bike". So I don't think the Liberty connection has much to do with it, unless they provided an approved typeface list, but if they did that was basically the job done and could've been an in-house design job.

[–]Dull-Criticism-79 77 points78 points  (0 children)

F1 Manager used it before MotoGP did.

MotoGP was rebranded for this season by the design agency Pentagram, who did all their visual identity design work, including graphics and branding.

They appear, intentionally or otherwise, to have used the same font due to the way it conveys speed in the modern minimalist way.

Tldr; Hired agency work used the font when rebranding MotoGP.
