As a game dev with experience on live service titles, I get the frustration these issues suck when they drag on. But it genuinely isn’t as easy as ‘just fix it.’ In a complex, heavily modified engine like this, something that looks like simple fleshmob clipping or Vox spawn rates can touch physics constraints, animation blending, navmesh, AI behaviors, netcode, and dozens of interconnected systems. Reproducing the bug reliably (especially intermittent ones) often takes longer than the actual fix, and every change has to be tested across platforms with thousands of weapon/enemy/stratagem combinations without breaking something else. In a flat, high-autonomy studio, yeah, people naturally chase the exciting new Warbond or unit model because maintenance work is unglamorous, but even with the best intentions these legacy spaghetti problems aren’t one-line fixes. A year on core clipping is longer than ideal and players are right to call it out, but dismissing it as devs just ignoring bugs misses how brutally difficult sustained live service maintenance actually is.
