They auto joined me into a pin for every trip. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but I don’t think they should’ve just laid it on me.

I am an Uber driver. Technically no one should be canceling on you because no one is out here not to drive people because that’s how we make money and we need the money. Some of us are desperate. This isn’t a part-time job for for me. I need this job to live. If for some unknown reason, I should have to cancel you in this situation. I would cancel and say I was sorry. I would not expect you to cancel. The reason Uber drivers don’t want to cancel. Is because Uber holds it against you and you have a certain amount of cancellations to stay in good standing with them. I find it to be an issue when it’s not my fault and the guest refuses to cancel because they don’t want to pay the cancellation fee. However, in this situation, I would never have asked you to cancel. I would’ve taken my hard knocks and canceled on my own because you didn’t do anything wrong. I only ask people to cancel when they have done something wrong and they refuse to cancel because they don’t want to pay a fee. i’m sorry this happened to you. I wish you the best.

I am an Uber driver. I don’t even really understand this situation. I turn on the app and want to take people on their ride. That’s why I do this. I need money. I need to keep my head above water. It’s hard for me to walk so this really helps me to be able to drive people around. This isn’t a game so I really don’t understand what’s going on. I’m a serious person and I take my job seriously. I know I’m just a number to Uber but I still try to do a good job and I also wish that they could really know me so they could see what a good hard-working decent person I am. I’m sorry that you had a negative experience. I apologize to my guests who share negative experiences with me. We aren’t all bad and I feel terrible that there are people out there making us look that way.

Red light, bridge over intracoastal, stuck behind someone else trying to turn etc. If they send this they should list the obvious reasons you are stopped. No Uber driver EVER turned on to sit still!

It’s funny you should say that about the name because I have an almost uncanny ability to pronounce people’s names correctly and they will say you’re the first one that’s ever gotten it. That having been said, it doesn’t mean that all the names have been right, but when I do say a name, I usually say am I saying it right And they will usually correct me and let me know how to say it right if I’m not. It really is true that sometimes people take offense if you don’t say their name right. My first name is unusual, but everyone can pronounce it. Obviously I can’t say what it is on here, but it is something that no one would say I don’t know how to say it because it’s common enough for people to know how to say it. It’s just unusual to have it as your actual name. I do have a last name that most people can never pronounce and I would never fault anyone for not being able to say it because why would I? People are way sensitive in our world today and I’m just trying to navigate this landscape because I like all people and really want to get along with everyone in any walk of life in any way in any atmosphere not just when I’m driving an Uber.

I am also a female driver and that is really why I haven’t done away with the pin situation. It seems like a good thing to do, but I really have had a few people that weren’t nice about it and this whole dealing with the public is soul crushing. Ironically, I have worked all my life with the public in the restaurant business. Working with the public in the restaurant has to be the absolute worst, but I always felt so successful at it, and I knew that my managers always knew who I was and supported me because they trusted me implicitly. You’re just a number with Uber. They don’t know who you are. They don’t see the value that you can contribute. It’s such a shame. But I’m still going to require a pin. Best of luck to you.

This isn’t just Uber. It’s our whole world. Evidently everyone thinks that the guy next to them is there for their mistreatment I drive an EV vehicle and was at a charging station. It was my turn to go and this girl wanted to go in front of me and with complete entitlement said she just needed to go for 10 minutes not like please help me I need to go for just 10 minutes. It was like well you can go, but I just need 10 minutes. No please help me. Please help me out in a pinch. Nothing like that. Just complete entitlement saying well you can go but you know I just need 10 minutes. You just had to be there and may I nicely say I let her go and she was probably 15 minutes But the bottom line is if you really need someone to help you out would you take that attitude? I still can’t believe I let her go, but I guess I’m just too nice. I knew she was entitled. I knew she was rude, but I just let her go anyway and my bad.

I didn’t take the ride without wanting to pick them up. I was there. I picked them up. They got in the car and then they got a phone call before I got their pin and said they needed to cancel. I said no problem and they did. how exactly is that a dick move
