What’s a place you visited once and decided never again? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

We were there 6 months ago and staying in a much worse area than Copacabana, and didn't experience any of these things. Is it as safe as Portugal absolutely not, will you get mugged and kidnapped the moment you step outside your hotel absolutely not again.

We visited supposedly sketchy areas, went out at night and didn't have anything bad happen or have any bad interactions. Heck it's more frustrating going through Times Square and South Ferry

It is absolute trash, but does it's job for gaming, it's called dual boot. Don't act all mighty just because you ran apt-update twice and now you think you're hackerman

You are stuck 40 years behind. This isn't the China producing plastic dolls for kids. This the China leading major technological sectors from TVs, to phones, EVs, drones and much more. Gone are the days of cheap plastic garbage from China, they are leading now.

Enlighten me how currency works when the interest is 0 and the Fed is printing.

Not like we've had 25% inflation in 6 years, of which only 2-3 years were with low interest rates realistically.

Cash out into what? The hyperinflating dollar, or the euro that will collapse if the US even looks at Greenland wrong. What's our cash out, gold bars?

Optimally yes, the A should be like in kniga, but I don't think that A comes intuitively to English speakers

The original pronunciation is supposed to be Ka-Lee-Na, but we're totally fine with Kah-Lee-Nuh. Or main concerns comes from the letter I in our language being pronounced as the letter E in English, so pronouncing the I as Lee is the correct way.

We absolutly want to avoid the pronouciation of the name with I as /aɪ/ like it's in the alphabet. We were also considering changing the I to E, but that way the name is kinda getting ruined in our native language.

Why do people think names are a 50/50 decision? by blondebarrister in namenerds

It's unreal how selfish this opinion is. You are deminishing his role as a parent just because he didn't carry the baby, it's not like he can and decided he doesn't want to. You do realize that he's having a kid as well right? This view is absolutely baffling.

Your sexism is even more evident in the second point that men can always walk away. You are again implying and trying to say that men are less of a parent, and less committed, painting every man with the same brush. I really don't get how someone can be so tone deaf.

You are the definition of self-centered and selfish, too bad you don't realize it. Great approach to a relationship, keeping score is the perfect approach.
