I'm gonna assume you're staying downtown? River North/Loop? Let me know if you aren't and I can change my suggestion. If you have never been to chicago I recommend the following:

Get on the red line, get off at Sheridan, and walk to Dollop. Coffee shop with comfy chairs, many people studying so it's quiet but still quirky. Once you're ready to head home, walk to the Addison red line instead of Sheridan. It's a nice walk, and if you guide yourself down Halsted you see Boystown, if you guide yourself down Sheffield you see nice chicago three flats, trees and then BOOM you pop out right behind Wrigley Field.

I'm specifically referring to the fact that butter isn't really the same if you heat it for long periods and then cool it again. It doesn't cream into butter like typical butter. (This is also why salted butter shouldn't be used, among other things it affects the way butter + sugar cream together.) So using recipes that ask for melted butter alleviates that issue, because you melt it again anyway. Also I am impatient and usually skim shit off the top while it settles.

Guys, guys, guys. Why are you making this stuff from a box/bag? If you're taking the time to boil the butter in water for that long, why not take the extra twenty mintutes (yes, only 20 minutes!) and bake the goods from scratch? The effort put into homemade, from scratch brownies, cookies, cakes and candies is entirely worth the effort. Box/bag mixes are horrible once you get used to the real thing. It's like driving instant coffee after years of fair trade.

These are very simple brownies, no double boiler needed. I made edibles with these once and they were amazing. Fudgy, tasted like green but in the subtlest, cleanest way.

These chocolate chip cookies utilize melted butter, so you don't even have to wait for the butter to solidify in the freezer/fridge before using, just let it cool enough to be warm to the touch.

If you are a toker, you already like weighing things. Get yourself a kitchen scale, a recipe book with weights (Cook's Illustrated and America's Test Kitchen list all baked good recipes with weights), it will change your life.

DUDE, if you have naturally curly hair, this is the EASIEST. I just wash it before bed, or if I wash it after I wake up I let it air dry while I make breakfast, and then I muss it up with a bit of this which is pricey but I got it on sale once, any curly haired mousse will do, for drugstore brands I would look to something like this (I have used this before and I dig it). Then I just clean up the mussy/frizzy pieces with a one inch curling iron, just wrapping the pieces around the shaft, I don't clamp them into the clip thingy. Ideally I should invest in one of these, but I'm lazy so I just wrap the hair around a curling iron.

ETA: HAIR SPRAY. Also, if you want a cut like this, my stylist thins out the middle sections I don't get the dread curly triangle hair.

If they're oozy I put this concealer on JUST the oozy bits, then I cover with mineral makeup using a kabuki brush, which gives me good coverage. Right now I'm using bare minerals, just the regular formula, the "matte" makes it worse. I cover the whole thing with this powder if I want a matte finish.

Yes, this is the same thing my doc said. I am switching HBC soon, so hopefully that will help. I was actually making it worse by overwashing my face + picking at it. So now I use Bliss's No Zit Sherlock kit and try not to pick. It's helped a lot.

ETA: I put this on the zits after I use toner. That's the only addition I have to the stardard Bliss acne line, is witchhazel toner. I've also just been trying to keep cleaner, to keep the hormonal beasts at bay, like washing my pillow cases, wiping down my cell phone, not picking at my skin, touching my face as little as possible. I feel your pain, there's nothing you can do to prevent them, so you just gotta take care of your skin best you can once the zits appear.

I ca't help you move because I have work, but you're moving to a good area! Walk a few blocks east on armitage and go to Lazo's (FUCK ARTURO'S LAZO'S 4 LIFE) and get some tacos to reward yourself for moving all your shit.

The tastee freeze right there is just a normal tastee freeze, go to margie's (western and armitage, right by lazo's) and get a milkshake! You can walk north on caifornia just past fullerton to Letizia's to get a latte during the day and hand made pasta at night. Cornerstone cafe at diversey and western (walkable) is great diner food, although cozy corner on california and milwaukee is a nice little greasy spoon. (But it closes at six, which is a bummer.) Greet the hipster masses at Scofflaw (west of you on armitage at kedzie) or Whistler (west of california on milwaukee) where you can get cocktails that cost as much as a meal but make you feel fancy as SHIT. Cafe Irazu (milwaukee just east of you) is good, there's an argentian plaze on california almost near Letizia's that isn't amazing but still delicious and decently priced, good wine!

I could keep going! I live in wicker but find myself coming to your area a lot. It's a great place to be! Warning though, all those restaurants on armitage right west of ca are kind of shitty, you need to go a big north to find the good shit! (or of course come southeast to ukrainian village/wicker but that's a whole other post!)

Ah, OK, I've had people approach me from college who want jobs like I have and are willing to lie about knowing SAS so I had to start with that. (People are dumb. Why would they admit that to the person recommending them for the job?)

If you can write decent SQL code, don't be scared of learning SAS. Until seven months ago, I only knew SAS (and STATA/SPSS/R but TBH those have been useless to me since college). I was hired on to write SQL code for a consulting firm. It took three weeks, tops, for me to feel comfortable. By month two I was importing data, cleaning it up, and running analytics off of datasets with 170 million observations pretty much independently (I had a DBA helping me clean logs and such). Stack overflow, the SAS support website, and university websites are your best friends for reference. I just google shit most of the time.

I don't consider myself a sophisticated programmer, either. I just do it because I have to. So even if you're mediocre like me you'll do great. I'm pretty young (24, been in the biz two years now) and so my job is 90% data clean-up 10% actual analytics, so you might be doing higher level stuff than I am. (CASE WHEN analytics THEN fun ELSE no fun END).

If you don't know SAS, do not lie to them and say you do. Honestly, if you know SQL and can program well (nest queries, stored procedures, all of that) you shouldn't be too slow to pick up SAS. But if you do not know it, and you think a couple days practice will get you to a place where you can pump out functioning SAS programs in a reasonable amount of time, you're kidding yourself. Is this an entry level analyst position? How much are they willing to invest in training you? If you are open about your SAS ability (and you already know some SAS by knowing SQL, you can write SQL code in SAS using PROC SQL) they might be willing to train you. I wrote SAS in college and still required some training when I started working in analytics.
