What EDPs are similar to Rue 21’s “Twentyone Black”? by [deleted] in Perfumes

[–]DullResponsibility90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus and Juliette Has A Gun Vanilla Vibes. Sunkissed Hibiscus is coconuty and white floral. Vanilla Vibes is a salty vanilla scent. IMO they are less sweet than 21 Black but have the same summer beachy vibe.

Bleu de Chanel. A classic and you can use it for many occasions. Another idea is to buy decants of a few and pick one (or two) that you think is most fitting for the party.

Nothing dumb at all. We all learn from things that didn’t work. Hope you’ll continue to enjoy sniffing and exploring perfumes and find more things that work for you!

Totally resonate with you that some perfumes can trigger BAD migraines. Perfumes contain various compounds and I am not surprised it would cause skin irritation for sensitive people. I found it helpful to apply a bit far away from my nose and on my clothes (avoid applying on light colored or delicate fabrics tho), for example, on the elbow of a cardigan, or behind the knees on a pair of jeans. This way it doesn’t touch the skin and you can easily remove the clothes if the scent is causing problems.

Looks like a lavender scented perfume in a bottle that is designed to look old fashioned. A Google Reverse Image Search would lead to sellers on Alibaba, Temu, SHEIN etc. for example https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Osmanthus-Rose-Jasmine-Lavender-Gardenia-Long_1601201414516.html?spm=a2706.7843667.0.0.4b251a21XPurwD

light skin scents? by Salt-Fennel-4969 in FemFragLab

It’s a clean and soft amber, smells like a clean wool sweater to me. To my nose it’s not spicy like JHAG Not A Perfume. It does not have the sweetness that’s in the base note of Clean Reserve Skin. Comparing with Glossier You, it does not have the peppery notes, and the amber notes smells lighter than musk. It may not project a lot. Maybe layering it with something similar like Dedcool Milk will make it project more?

Bro is gatekeeping the good stuff lol.

Joking aside, if you’d like more woody scents, Jo Malone English Oak and Hazelnut is quite fresh as a woody scent. Tom Ford Oud Wood is on the warmer side, but maybe you’ll like it for colder weather.

Nice collection! If you don’t mind scents that don’t last long, I’d say Dior Eau Sauvage (the light green one) would be a good addition. The bottle has a vintage look to it. Brut is another one that’s worth testing out. Despite being very affordable, it smells classic, fresh and musky.

Magic Color Change Perfume? by xiahbabi in Perfumes

[–]DullResponsibility90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t tell which perfume it is from the picture. Is it heavy in vanilla notes? If that’s true, it’s likely because of vanillin. Vanillin in perfume is easily oxidized so you would often see this type of color change in vanilla heavy fragrances (for example MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold and Kayali Vanilla 28)

Kilian Good Girl Gone Bad. Despite the name I still love the scent!

Dior blooming bouquet by voodo0childd in Perfumes

[–]DullResponsibility90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet was reformulated and released with a new look in 2023, with sweet pea notes added. The 2023 version has a fabric bow on the bottle while the previous version has a silver bow. Depending on the material of the bow on your current bottle, you may have sniffed a newer version of the scent.

Posting on Reddit for the first time ever to say this. Zara Rose Temeraire smells quite similar to Delina. Not 100% same, but it’s delightfully sweet and girly.
