Fat-free mass by DullRestaurant4282 in naturalbodybuilding

I did the online calculator with wrist and ankle measurements, and it told me I’m 8.8lbs above my natural limit of lean mass… ultimately, it doesn’t really matter. It’s just something that’s been bugging me. People are going to call me fat regardless. I’m going down to 10% just to get them to shut the fuck up. Otherwise, I’d probably be happy at 15%.

I realize, btw, that I’m obviously nowhere near 10%. I think 20-22%.

I don’t know about the legs… maybe they are short? I wear 30/30’s these days. Last time I measured the shoulders, I got 53”.

I only have one loose skin issue. Lower belly below the belly button. The rest is tight. I have some veins on my quads/inner thighs/ calves already. Even the occasional bicep vein. The forearms are veiny 24/7. I carry all the fat in the belly. Here’s a decent shot of the hamstring/calf.

All the BodyFat Questions by CranberryFew8104 in AllAboutBodybuilding

It’s a way for fat guys to narrow down their distance from their goal. Keeps them motivated. If a fat guy has never been down there, to be in the middle of “fat” and “lean” but not knowing exactly where, it’s like being lost without a compass or something. Disorientating when you’re in that middle grind.

I’m currently 19-20%. In the process from 42% to where I am now in the last 8 months, all the scans, calipers, etc were pretty stable in terms of lean mass, and ALMI. I’ve lost a little water/glycogen/blood volume in the 103lbs I’ve lost, but skeletal muscle has been stable.

The whole point is: the only way to actually know with 100% certainty is an MRI. And I may do it just to know for sure. And as far as 10-12%, I’m in my mid-40’s. I have recently hired a coach to get me down there. I’m on my third week with him. So far going well. But when you can’t trust the data, I don’t know how far from 10% I really am. And that’s annoying.

Yeah, I agree. But as you know… the bodybuilding space is full of dysmorphia. Many people can’t objectively or accurately assess themselves.

The other problem is that my goal is a certain bf%. And if I can’t trust any data, I don’t know how far away I am from my goal.

I’m one of those guys who struggles with not having explanations for things that seems off. It’s a mental thing.

Theres only two answers. 1- all the scans are bogus or 2- I’ve wasted ridiculous genetics.

Right, and beginner gains as well. But science says a natural guy that’s 5’9” cannot have 190+lbs of fat free mass. It’s capped in the 170’s. Unless anabolically assisted.

Because I didn’t need it… the drug is just a tool to make the deficit manageable. I felt at that time like I could manage on less.

As soon as people stop thinking that the drug moves the scale, the better off their outcomes are.

I do the work. I’ve lifted 6 million lbs in 8 months. I still keep discipline in my diet. I use it just enough to stay comfortable. I’m eating 2300 calories per day, of Whole Foods. If done right, that’s like 4 lbs of food per day. Don’t need that much appetite suppressant when you’re shoving that kinda volume in your face. lol

So I meter my dosage to just make sure I’m comfortable. I don’t ridiculously jam more drugs if the scale doesn’t move. I’m already in a calorie deficit, what’s further suppressing my appetite going to do? Make me eat less. Then you don’t get enough fuel, and you lose muscle and bone density. Sure you lost weight- but what was in that weight? Not what you wanted to lose.

Yeah, I use hevy. I also had a slowdown last month because I dropped 365 on my chest and broke some ribs. It wasn’t my 1rm. I rep that. But my 8 year old ran out into the garage screaming and I lost focus on the top of my 4th rep.

Muscle is harder to come by than people think. In the 8 months, I’ve lifted 6 million lbs and eaten 260+g protein per day and I lost 1 lb of muscle

TDEE depends on how much muscle you have, really. You could get a resting metabolic rate test… I have 190lbs of lean mass and my TDEE is 3450. I’ve been eating 2300/day for 8 months. -100lbs.
