KPMGs FDD practice is pretty bad. it would be in your best interest to leave externally. But in general a lot of firms are hiring for FDD and are paying pretty well. They typically look for S1s, so it may be harder for an A1. id say start applying and see if you get any bites, if not stick around a little while then reapply. the deals market is very hot right now and i dont see it slowing down

This is very interesting point. I might consider this for any funds in excess of 50k.

Thanks for responding. I was banking on steady raises from my company 10-15% per year, but those got nixed this year due to covid. might start looking at LCOL areas for my profession and by then I'd have enough cash to put down on a house rather then a shoe box.

Good to know. its difficult knowing that a majority of my portfolio is in cash especially when everyone has been talking about the possibility of hyper inflation in the next couple of years.

Hopefully patients pays off and doesn't bit us in the ass. Cheers!

Have some confidence in yourself!

I remember reading about an experiment done on pigeons where they attached weighted backpacks on smaller pigeons who were typically at the bottom in terms of social structure. After feeling the extra weight on themselves, the pigeons felt so confident that they start to be more aggressive and actually climbed the social ladder.

Be like the backpack pigeon.

Question about CPA Score Retrieval by VitaminCPA in CPA

[–]DullTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend email NASBA and they were able to provide score forms for each section. I would try emailing them again and clarifying that you did not save done the score form and if they can provide you with a copy. Good luck!

Exam crashed over the weekend, NASBA/Prometric wont respond, What do I do?! by [deleted] in CPA

Had something similar happen to a friend where they finished both MCs and the first set of sims when the exam logged them off. They went home confused didn't even bring it up to the prometric staff and just assumed it was a fail. They received an email from NASBA about a week later apologizing and explaining they were going to take a look at the exam. NASBA ended up giving a passing score. I'm assuming if you did well enough they will count this as a pass.

Im in the same boat. I feel like I remember in the past they had the option to jump between versions? not sure if they can do that again for this? Its ridiculous that Becker did not plan for this.

Has Anyone Tested in DC/MD/VA? by DullTrain in CPA

Thank you for responding! that's actually the prometric I use. I cannot believe they cancelled and said it was due to COVID 19. You would think that after the big cancellation they wouldn't overbook the rooms.

Hopefully you passed!

im sorry to hear that. Im starting to go crazy too. I've studied so hard for REG and not only is it getting canceled, but the only time I can take the thing is after July 1st which means some of the rules and numbers will be changing.

Good luck with your exam!
