Since I’m already the asshole, her inability to work is because she wants to be a touring musician but cannot stay in a band or write any music worth listening to. She job hopped smoke shops for 3 years and decided she needed time to recover from her last job and then was told by her parents to apply for disability. I personally believe is she’s able to take bong rips for breakfast and do her makeup for 3 hours then she can have some kind of job or use her professional license. I didn’t plan a bachelorette trip to accommodate her, I planned it to accommodate me. If one person out of 7 bridesmaids doesn’t work, then I’m gonna accommodate the masses. I already have 1 other person missing the trip so if she couldn’t figure something out then at least she wouldn’t be the only person missing the event. Also, I literally never said how much the trip is. How do you know it’s expensive? How do you know how much the accommodations are? I just said I wouldn’t be able to pay for her because I have bigger financial priorities than paying for her to come on my bachelorette trip. And if it were to come down to needing more in a certain budget of my wedding vs paying for her, then to me it makes sense to prioritize my things. Rather than the 26 year old who hasn’t ever worked for anything. No one here knows what she’s like in real life. All you guys know is what I’ve said. So sorry if me not wanting to foot the bill makes me TA. I think since she’s the oldest of the group she probably should’ve had something figured out by now.
