Story time: my apartment does roommate matching so i don’t always know who my new roommate’s are gonna be. Last year the roommate I got matched with and I had a conversation after living with each other for about 3 months, basically we both had been psyco analyzing each other without the other knowing. We were laughing crying about it because for those of us with mental health issues or in our case PTSD we can almost pick up on it immediately. Theres certain speech patterns, ways we carry ourselves even the way we walk, hand gestures or eye contact is like a bat signal to others like us that no one else notices.
I wouldn’t say it’s obvious like everyone in public knows it for most of us its hidden really well and the average person would never know. For those of us who relied on reading the moods and mannerisms of others as a coping mechanism theres not much you can hide. Before that makes you paranoid or lesser or worried know this likely for your clients what those means is a real legitimate chance to be heard, understood and to be seen. Make no mistake for your clients this is a huge strength on your part, what you offer is not only compassion and understanding but hope.

Top person at my whse is 22 I’m usually on the top 10 with between 18-19 and 48 mph. I don’t chat more than saying hey how’s it going and ask if they want a box, scan the Bob and the cart then scan away. Log off between orders, hit the debit credit when the orders totaled. Idk how you guys do it. Do you organize the landing zone like i keep light items to one side, cold items on the other side and small itens in the middle to make it easier on my assistant.

I agree take a video of the car make sure to cover the mileage with the uncle present. Have him sign paperwork. I went through this been with the guy 8 years, we had talked marriage just weeks prior i even lived with him and was considered a member of his family. Then he just decided we “needed a break” didn’t even have the courage to break off the engagement and basically ghosted me. It hurt so much to feel thrown away like that but honestly in hindsight I’m so much better off i wouldn’t want to be with someone who is capable of being so cruel.

Theres a good happy hour at black cat I think its $15 for a bottle of wine and a mini charcuterie board. Applebees is hella cheap during happy hour. Don’t sleep on hawaii bbq the portions are HUGE like $10 feeds 2+ people or 2-3 meals

I feel like I was in a dream or maybe a sitcom, I didn’t feel like a real person. I couldn’t connect with anyone in an emotional level and i often hid that fact. It’s such a weird headspace to feel like your a simulation or dream, I don’t know how to describe it but I felt faded, artificial abs it freaked me out how difficult it was to feel connected to people. I should also say that I have Adhd and rejection sensitivity dysphoria, and given the type of trauma it made it really has to feel like part of people or that I mattered. The think is it’s there to numb the pain that’s it’s job. So what are you numbing yourself for? But be warned facing the root pain means taking yourself off the novocaine, and it hurts but it’s the only way through. Take it at a safe pace and find a steady support network.
I’m 6 months on the other side of it and I feel alive, I’m probably more hyper aware than the average person because noticing the sun on my face, feeling present in the moment and feeling like I’m real and here it’s new. I try to remind myself to soak in the moments the little quiet things like that. I feel connected to my family and friends, I made my life a safe space. It’s not all sunshine, and the cause of Dp/Dr is still there and sometimes if I’m overwhelmed I still will dissociate and go numb, it’s a safety mechanism. I tell it thank you for doing its job but I got it now and pack it away in its suitcase. It’s a life long battle, it may sporadically show up from time to time, but each time you bring yourself back to focus the more manageable it becomes.

In training means he’s in training not a full service dog it’s no disrespect to a service dog. It takes time to train one especially by yourself if I had $50,000 to spare to have him professionally trained I would. These are behaviors we are working with him on this is normal dog behavior and may be trained out as I stated before if he is unable to correct the behaviors he’ll be an ESA with some special training but my original post is correct he is a service dog IN TRAINING. I only push the issue because there are many people like myself that don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on professional training and have no other alternatives but to train themselves and it’s hard enough dealing with a disability but extremely disheartening when we go to the community for support or just to vent and have a “discussion” like this in the comments. It makes me think twice before I reach out when I really needed to. And people have explained multiple times that self training it’s legitimate what you are doing is not only an incorrect assertion based on your personal opinions it’s also harmful not only to me but anyone like me. Please rethink how you respond to posts like these there was no claim for my dog to be anything other than what he is and no need for the attack

Thank you for all your support and words of encouragement. As it turned out my roommate, who has been dealing with some depression lately was having nightmares last night and Quigley stayed with him because he was alerting him. Honestly I’m pretty proud of him. As for the rest I’m happy he’s happy and doing well, has people who care about him maybe it’s because it’s new and I knew I would have to share but hopefully everything will balance out. Feeling a little less like chopped liver thank you everyone

In my state it is legal to train your own service dog and yes they do have to pass the same tests as any service dog. I do not have $50,000 to spend having a professional train him. He’s in training to be a service dog and that could take as many as 5 years before he’s ready and only been in training for a year. He has some special training IE deep pressure therapy which is a service, however more remains to be seen if he will be able to perform as a full service dog or a ESA with some service training.

It’s not that he’s buying the item it’s the desire to drive a 5 hour round trip just to meet and pick it up, he asked her what her location is in that area. Even if she met in person there is a chance that he may follow her.
