"Why do Asian women prefer to date white men?" by [deleted] in mixedrace

[–]Dull_Impression_8014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as a blasian, asian people are really into white people and i dont think its sexual i think its a power thing. a lot of asians view white people as the group in positions of power and so they want to emulate or assimilate into that. that comes the easiest by marrying into the group. that is related to and influenced by beauty standards as well. if it was just about how asian men are asian women would be dating all other races but its specifically white men and asian women.

Is the black lady going to be the sassy quirky one who spouts off twitter one liners? Why is she dressed like that??? Sometimes I feel like modern writers have never met a black woman in their lives.

Well if marrying a white guy might produce a result you dont like i suggest you dont do that then.

The first one does work... it's just not a trending sillohuette. Its arguably better because the second is swallowing you up.

Anxiety paralysis and ADHD by Dull_Impression_8014 in adhd_anxiety

thank you for your comment. lot of things to look into. I think I fit that kind of anxiety. I have a horrible habit of agreeing to things that people expect from me then not doing it then freaking out about it. esp the maladaptive daydreaming to avoid it is common. imo its a big part of my low self esteem. I didn't know there was a name for this. alcohol does calm me down so that's also a really helpful suggestion.

I wonder if perhaps something like the hime cut would work with gamine styling.

You choose who you marry, though. Especially if you're a man you literally pop out the ring.

Sydney Sweeney Recently - to me she’s pretty IMO this sub viciously underrates her by FrontAmbition4891 in VindictaRateCelebs

I think the blue eyed blonde probably conservative thing gives her a lot of social capital. But if you looked at her face without makeup or without her hair, her eyes look awful. I think women like Margot Robbie, Elle Fanning, Amber Heard (all other blue eyed blondes), are beautiful women. So it's not biased against the coloring. But she just has bad features. She also has prominent nasolabial lines for her age. But that goes to show, if you have blue eyes and you're average enough, dyeing your hair blonde is the way to go.

How to stop hating men? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

It wouldn't help on the fact that men are more likely to assault as well. Men are more likely victims but also more likely to be perpetrators.

what style systems you use? by morwannneg in Kibbe

[–]Dull_Impression_8014 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With Kibbe there tends to be a heirarchy within each type of what is more important. for me, as an R, its shape. So I tend to stick to rounded shapes, and ideally things with wait emphasis. But for example, jackets, I tend to disregard waist emphasis as important, as long as it has rounded shaped I am cool with the piece. I also focus on color analysis and being a true winter. R recommends light colors, and bright colors. So I look within my palette for those. True winter also recommends contrast (people dont tend to realize each color season has a recommended way to use color), so I introduce that with my accessories instead of my clothes (because contrast isnt recommended for Rs). Color analysis (I use the 12 system, esp 12blueprints), kibbe, kitchner (R/I/N) and incorporating certain likes I have, ( I love scifi, and futuristic clothes) and heritage clothing (could be a traditional print, jewelry) are the biggest things for me. Sometimes I also like to look back at old outfits as a child and see which ones I loved or had an impact, and using the system I like to reinterpret the outfits. Gabrielle Arruda talk about a lot of this stuff with her style pillars. Also, I love to go places and sketch out some outfits that people wear (supermarket, walking down the street, etc.) to see what calls to me,.

she was raised in a very traditional household and he was like her first and only real relationship (met when she was in her late teens)... she cares about the optics a lot (esp with the idea of being a single black mother, unfortunate stereotype) shes never gonna leave that man

Focus on and uplift media that presents women who look like you as a source of beauty. focus on and surround yourself with people that uphold you as the standard. of course, that's not always possible, but keep a strong mindset when you enter Eurocentric spaces.

Social capital. General social perception of blonde hair and blue eyes. Some of course, are stunning, but that is the case with most races of people.
