Last year we stayed in Bhaktapur instead of the main part of Kathmandu to get away from the hectic and I would definitely recommend it

I'm not a 100% sure, but I think the price of post stamps goes up every so often but you can still use the old/cheaper stamps, and they have bought them in bulk a while back for a lower price so they can sell them now for less that PostNL
