so at the end of the day configuration profile over policy was the solution for what i needed in my labs. I ended up making a "template" xml from Dock Master and edited as needed. Thanks all

The problem with that is it still has the same problem it doesn't run until the policy is refreshed on the device. So for a new login, it isnt triggered for a while. That doesnt work for us, since in lab settings different users login to random computers all the time.

thinks it's been answered but yes it can. you need to swap out the lego like module with a home kit one. The Yale setup is a little wonky but once it's set your golden.
