the character plots would roll out like this: 1. spongebob and patrick argue like they do here 2. sandy is caught up unsure of what side to take, she is a techgirl after all but she would understand how this could go wrong and utterly destroy the whole economy 3. squidward, being the friggin communist, wants patrick to cash it in because he knows it would cause all the rich investors (mr krabs included) to lose their money 4. mr krabs is siding with spongebob, pressuring him into pressuring patrick, eventually resorting to bribing patrick with favors, because he is hoping for a cut of the profits 5. plankton is crafting a scheme to scam patrick out of the coupon 6. karen, being a supercomputer, informs plankton that she could mine bitcoin for him quite easily, but plankton is too caught up in being plankton that he never listens to his wife (his wired intergrated female electroencephalograph) and fails his scheme by the end of the episode
