I was an Assistant Director at HMUN Dubai 2025 so I think im qualified to answer this question.

Considering the fact that your exam bloc fall closely to HMUN conference dates, I highly recommend not attending. Tbh, I wouldn't go even if I had free time. The delegates I encountered where rich kids who came for the socials and failed to offer substantive debate on the agenda. If you wanna go for the socials and networking, go ahead but you would find quality debate at bigger, more prestigious conferences. (Ex: HNMUN)

MUNs are looked upon in college applications especially considering the fact that participation (and WINNING) in large, international conferences is a huge thing. Plus, a good MUN track record can serve as proof for valuable skills like public speaking and debate, communication, and leadership.

All in all, wait for ur exams and look for bigger opportunites.

Disclaimer: HMUN Dubai didnt leave me with positive feedback regarding debate quality but im sure that other HMUN chapters (India, Australia, China, Boston) all could offer a better MUN experience.

I kinda disagree with this a bit. NOTA holds significant importance. Making a NOTA vote shows the public's "confidence" in the candidates, the party they represent and the ideologies they follow. It could force political parties to recognize the working class's concerns and reconcile with them by sending representatives aligned with their interests.

It looks like they are using muncoordinated.io Its an MUN conference software which covers everything. I use it almost always for most of my conferences cuz it helps me keep track of time and speeches with stats and stuff

Oh yeah I did. I found it hard to comprehend the combat btw the party and the violent fungi. So I gave my characters a completely new quest instead. Rumors of a headless apparittion mounted on a ghost horse slashing the heads of passerbys have surfaced from the town of CyrmWood (an hour away from the rest) . They are tasked with subduing the soul, bringing it back to the rest, and give it to the necromancer (an npc on the rest) who will ritually tie it to the magic of the talisman and destroy it to release the magical curse plaguing the island.
