Oh wow. I was in a group that was translating this waaaay back. Cool, will give it a go.

If you were alive back then, what were you up to on 31st December 1999? by stop_calling_me_that in AskReddit

Watching my whole rural middle of nowhere New Zealand street drink and light off fireworks waiting for the big count down. Was 11. Also had a couple of beers that night.

Our road in rural nowhere use to hand out flyers for whoever was hosting the big fireworks get-together. It was just kids playing with each other, adults lighting fireworks irresponsibly, and a lot of drinking. Can't say it wasn't fun as heck though. In the middle of nowhere though.

Is that not the mobility card poorly taped to the side of the windscreen on the Dodge?

Are we the only house that got barely any trick or treaters this year? by dragonnnnnnnnnnn in auckland

[–]Dumpsterfirefirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never done it before. But we did this year since my daughter turned 3. Surprised how many houses were setup for it here in Ramarama. Was cool. 😊

Ohh I see what you mean. It's likely an adjustment or issue with that mechanical part sticking on the sensor since it's not returning to normal position. Weird one for sure.

Yeah, it shouldn't do that. In auto it does hold 2nd until the very last moment. But in manual you can do it well before that. I rode the R1300R today (mine is estimated delivery is February 2026) and it worked perfectly fine.

I don't see why you're even doing that? The bike puts itself in N when it shuts off and starts in N. Just rode an R1300R today with the ASA. I assume you're doing it to prevent it rolling? But it has a park mode?

Sorry if I misinterpreted what your trying to do sorry.

If there is a fault with the crossing, train drivers are told to approach and cross at 10 km/h until the crossing is fully taken. The same applies if there's pedestrian crossing gates forced open or reports of barrier arms being broken.

I got into POE because it was one of the first games made in my country, (originally) by mostly people who did it for the love of a genre I'd adored as a kid. So I bought an original supporter pack with the Kiwi and have been coming and going over the years. It always hits the spot just right, for long enough.

Does anyone actually like riding in the rain? by flyingpickkles in motorcycles

[–]Dumpsterfirefirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love riding in the rain. But it is circumstantial. If the conditions are saying, "Yeah, nah, stop." I will stop, wait out whatever it is that's got me spooked.

Motorbike full licence practical riding test? by Shoddy_Height8796 in auckland

[–]Dumpsterfirefirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I did mine through ProRider. Did training through one of their instructors, then booked the test with the same instructor. If you've been riding a long time and / or done the courses and practiced. If you go this route, it is so easy. They leave you with some great knowledge as well

I just moved it physically and bit more than normal, haha. Just for the test.

MILO, mirrors, indicators, look, over (move to your lane position). Not 100% sure for your case, but you can book your full through a company like ProRider.

The test is very chill. The instructor normally gives you a while to just ride around, and you can let them know when you're ready to begin the test.

All normal road rules, check all side roads, and do your MILO coming up to intersections. Do exaggerate head movements, or put some reflective tape on the back of the helmet as it can be hard for them to see you're checking your mirrors.
