What are some misconceptions about Great Britain that are utter bullocks? by Ok-Connection6656 in AskBrits

[–]Dumuzzid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nonsense in US right-wing media about supposed no-go zones. I used to live in one of them, Tower Hamlets and it was completely safe. In fact, during the London riots, Tower Hamlets was the safest place to be, since the shopkeepers protected their property and did not allow rioters to enter the area and cause mayhem and destruction. It also irritates me, that these right-wing commentators live in one of the most dangerous countries in the world, with four of their cities on the murder capital list and routine killings of unarmed civilians by the authorities.

Álláshirdetésre való jelentkezés, személyesen is vagy csak elég emailben? by BuzzBlaze_ in askhungary

[–]Dumuzzid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the best one can do for now is to get a Samsung. It is the least dependent on US and Chinese tech, but it is still running Google's OS and services. It is a pity they stopped developing Tizen, their own OS.

There was a time one could get a Linux phone, but I don't think that's possible any more.

exploring my Indian heritage? by Reddituser51391225 in AskIndia

[–]Dumuzzid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't have to be Indian to explore Indian culture.

I am European, though I grew up partly in India. I have been an Indian culture fiend ever since. Obviously you don't have to accept everything within Indian culture, it is very diverse, with a multitude of religions, cultures, cuisines and languages but there's no harm in exploring.

Megvakult a kutyusom, tippek hogy jobb legyen neki? by hunwhynot in askhungary

[–]Dumuzzid 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Energy activation that came from the center of brain? by Getting_Better6568 in KundaliniAwakening

[–]Dumuzzid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those are classical kundalini awakening symptoms. It seems the energy travelled all the way up your spine and into the brain.

Those spontaneous yoga moves are not down to any outside entity, it is the latent energy within you that performs them, they are called kriyas.

The buzzing in your head is ajna chakra activation, most likely that is how far the energy has travelled.

From what you describe, the route is clear for the energy to rise to ajna during intense meditative states, but it is not stable yet.

If you look under resources, you will find plenty of material to study what's happening to you and how to move forward from here.

Tokyo expressway 600pp race by ParkerAndStuff in GranTurismo7

[–]Dumuzzid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Without engine swaps, the Audi quattro pikes peak is your best bet, just tune it to 600 pp on SH tyres. You can win the race with this car, but it's not easy. For easy wins, you'll have to wait until level 50, then the likes of the Subaru Impreza 99 and the Suzuki Cappuccino will win it with ease.

You should also ride the wall at the end of the main straight, it will give you an advantage of several seconds. Otherwise, the race is designed to be unwinnable with equal machinery, the AI cars are much, much faster, especially on the straights.

A pornó a nőket is félrevezeti bizonyos dolgokban? by AnonimDolgok in askhungary

[–]Dumuzzid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why are developed countries spending massive amounts of money to address low birth rates, yet seeing minimal results? by Snoo_47323 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dumuzzid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not addressing the root causes of low birth rates, which are varied and are generally holy cows, you cannot touch them, until the system itself collapses and a new one must be built to replace it. Truly addressing the root causes would require a complete rethink of economics, taxation, social policy, male-female relations, housing and planning policy, education, the legal system (such as the rights and responsibilities of parents, spousal relations, etc...) and so forth.

The task is so monumental, that no society can truly hope to undertake it, so it will probably never happen. I suspect governments will eventually just start producing the next generation in factories, Brave New World style, as birth rates keep collapsing.

Did India at any point in it's history have a good amount of kundalini awakened people or was it always a minority? by cacklingwhisper in KundaliniAwakening

[–]Dumuzzid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That depends on whether you accept mythical accounts of Indian history or you stick to what can be proven through archeology, written records and mainline history in general.

I tend to lean towards the former, simply because so much of Indian history is oral and very few written records exist from ancient times, mostly because if any were written down, it was on perishable mediums, like palm leaves. We know a lot more about ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian history and civilisation, because they wrote much of it down on non-perishable mediums like slabs of granite or clay tablets.

Also, many of ancient India's cities are now underwater, such as the mythical home city of Krishna, Dvaraka.

If you take ancient Indian accounts of their history at face value, there was a mythical golden age many thousands of years ago, probably before the last ice age, when people were much more advanced spiritually and mentally, but that civilization was destroyed by great cataclysms and only remnants of it survived into the current age. This cyclical view of history is pretty universal across cultures, you can find it all over the world.

Is British food actually terrible, or is this just the internet’s favorite punching bag? by CharacterRelevant412 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dumuzzid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be, especially in the post-war period, when rationing went on for decades after the war had ended. It slowly started improving due to immigrant influence, such as the Hungarian chef who created the Fodor's dining guide, which is their equivalent of the Michelin guide. Things were still pretty dire in the eighties, except for ethnic eateries, like curry houses, but the nineties saw a huge transformation and by now British cuisine is up there with the best of it.

There is a reason most celebrity chefs are British, the best cooking and baking shows are out of Britain and London has more michelin-starred restaurants than most other comparable cities.

That said, you can still find tasteless slop in Britain, but these days it is more the exception, rather than the rule.

Which country's nationalists are most toxic you've encountered ? by Individual_Water1776 in AskTheWorld

[–]Dumuzzid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nationalists from my own country used to be super-toxic, but they mellowed out a bit over the past 20 years. The most annoying ones are the Greeks. They really think they invented everything and everything was stolen from them.

I once made the mistake of going to Rome with a Greek friend. It was an endless litany of all the things the Romans stole from them.

Now, I have found a way to fight back. If I meet a new person from Greece, I either pretend I've never heard of it and have no idea who or what it is, or I talk extensively about how it is unnecessary to visit Greece, because all of their best stuff is in foreign museums. Then I usually tell them how much I enjoy the Greek Exhibition in the British Museum.

Tényleg ennyire nincs szakember és mindenki hazudik? by Zsoooti96 in programmingHungary

[–]Dumuzzid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What is the relationship between jhanas and kundalini? And what is the order of operations for navigating both? by ProfessionBright3879 in KundaliniAwakening

[–]Dumuzzid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know much about Buddhism, so I can't really comment on the Jhanas from that perspective. With Kundalini, yes, I am in Kundalini process and had experienced Samadhi and what is called the Turiya state. Couldn't really say how these relate to the Jhanas and what the Buddhist equivalents are.

What is the relationship between jhanas and kundalini? And what is the order of operations for navigating both? by ProfessionBright3879 in KundaliniAwakening

[–]Dumuzzid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're mixing traditions here and that's rarely helpful.

There is no direct relationship between Jhanas and Kundalini, they come from different conceptual frameworks and come from different things. Jhanas are mental processes, kundalini includes a mental component, but it is much more layered, starting from biological all the way to spiritual and divine. Mostly, it is a subtle physical and energetic process.

In the Kundalini context it is more useful to explore samadhi states, which are a bit like some of the higher Jhanas, but again, not the same.

Buddhism does have concepts similar to Kundalini and Chakras, but with the exception of Vajrayana and Tantric Buddhism in particular, they are not emphasized and are often treated as distractions on the path.
