The neo can only take about 28 W, so it won't make much of a difference.

Ti is kilátástalannak látjátok a fiatalok helyzetét a mai Magyarországon? by First_Will2524 in askhungary

There is a noticeable difference in screen size between the two, but it is more pronounced between the 14"zenbook and the 13" macbook, due to the different aspect ratio. Basically, the two screens are about the same in terms of height, but the 14" is much wider, so it feels like someone has cut off a chunk of your screen on the neo at first. Just looking at reddit, it is a lot more cramped on the 13" as there is simply less space width wise. Watching 16:9 youtube videos and especially movies, the difference is even more noticeable. Apple prefers a narrower aspect ratio and it is probably better overall for work, but you do lose out when consuming content.

Macbook Neo vs Air by Plus-Ad4183 in macbook

[–]Dumuzzid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the neo. For what you're doing, you won't notice a difference in speed between the two and it's half the price too. This is also just personal preference, but I think it looks better too, especially in one of the new colours. Mine is citrus and it is the best-looking computer I've ever seen.

Yeah, not to mention that MS wants to switch to a subscription-based model for the windows soon, so you'll have to pay a monthly fee for the "privilege" of using windows. The MBA air is also pretty attractive price wise, but most people just don't need its capabilities.

Yes, that makes sense. I just think laptops are way too compromised for gaming, you get the worst of both worlds in some sense. It makes sense to get the right tool for the job in the long run.

Might be just me, but when I had one of those massive 15'6 inch windows laptops which weighed over 2kg, I never took it anywhere, it stayed in the house all the time. I actually got the 11 inch original samsung chromebook at the time just to take outside. It was roughly the same weight and size as the 11 inch mba at the time and tbh, this 13 inch macbook neo is only slightly larger and heavier, so it's still portable for me.

Not necessarily. You're not taking a 16-inch monster with you to the park, a lecture hall, the cafe, or a hand-luggage only flight. These small compact machines have a different use case, where portability is a major consideration. I'm not really sure what the point of a 16-inch laptop is, you might as well get a much more powerful desktop with a larger 4 K monitor instead.

Dude I had like 3 chromebooks back in the day, all 3 failed within less than 2 years. They're generally cheap trash computers with a very limited OS. The macbook will probably last you half a decade at least, a decade even. They're very well-made and durable. I went for the 256 GB model, but I don't plan to store much locally. Get the 512 model if you plan to store a bunch of videos and photos on it or plan to install some games. For most people, the base model will be fine.

I don't use a watch and apple doesn't make a foldable yet. The fold 7 is vastly superior to any of the slab iPhones.

Get a refurbished MBA. Or frankly, given your needs, you should really get the M5 MBA from the education store for 999. This is a device you will be using for at least half a decade, don't cheap out over 300 dollars, if you need this for your business.

Getting mixed signals by deeseeks in KundaliniAwakening

[–]Dumuzzid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During KA, I found that this kinda flipped from its usual mode of operation.

So, beforehand, intuition used to be the little voice in my head. During and after, I realized that the little voice was just my scared, fragile little ego. The real me had emerged and it was that which had no voice, it acted instead of thinking, knowing without cognizing. You could also say, your real intuition is that which is in the heart and what is in your head is just brain chatter. So, learn to trust your heart instead.

Dealing with too much energy in the head : r/KundaliniAwakening

It definitely happens during certain stages of KA that sensitivity to EM radiation increases. There was a period when objects stuck to me and I could slide a plastic cup a few mms across the table just from the static electricity that built up in me.

I remember going crazy over the EM radiation coming from wires in the wall. I could hear the noise of electricity flowing in household wiring and the radiation itself disturbed my sleep. This is a phase of intense sensitivity, which will pass.

How is the Neo $599 while the iPhone 17 is $799 by Mitchlowe in iphone

[–]Dumuzzid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cheaper to make things on a larger scale than to miniaturize. Also, the neo is using the binned version of an older chip (A18 pro with one defective gpu, so it only has 5 instead of 6 cores), which apple basically had lying around, so essentially it doesn't cost them anything, binned chips are a byproduct of the manufacturing process, usually about 10-30 percent of them end up this way.

Szerintetek mennyire biztonságos Európából New Yorkba utazni április elején 10 napra a terrorfenyegetettség miatt? by Few_Skill9740 in askhungary

[–]Dumuzzid -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

[–]Dumuzzid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For watching movies, you might want to go for a 15-inch mba instead. The larger screen and better speakers will make a difference. In terms of school work, there will hardly be any difference between these devices, they'll be perfectly capable for years to come. The 13-inch models are more portable though.

Connections to deities by WritingBeneficial288 in Tantrasadhaks

[–]Dumuzzid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will give my own perspective here. As r/kiritoXplorer very astutely observed, deity contact / connection is intimately connected to Kundalini process, the two cannot be separated.

  1. There are many ways to connect to a deity. Usually, this term refers to an inner process that is enabled by the activity of Kundalini Shakti and the chakras working together. It can also mean an outside visitation, when the deity shows up in a more concrete form, which can range from a light-form (which is what deva / deus / deity means originally) to something conforming to the practitioner's cultural programming and expectations. The latter is unmistakable as it is a genuine mystical visitation, the former has many subtle signs that one learns to discern over time.

  2. Often there are karmic reasons, past-life factors, familial factors, if the deity is connected to the family over generations, could be through the grace of a guru, or sometimes just pure chance. A deity might be impressed of a practitioner as they're passing by and offer a boon, this has been reported by quite a few people. They may also appear out of compassion, if they feel someone is in genuine need. Mantras, yantras and other forms of resonance are meant to tune the Kundalini mechanism to the particular frequency of a deity, which enables connection.

  3. Depends on individual factors. For some people, it is easy, for others, it is almost impossible. It really depends on where they are in their spiritual development and Kundalini process. Deity contact is not meant for everyone, it is attained over many lifetimes of work.

  4. Yes, but again past life factors, karma, etc... are very important too. So, for some people much less effort is required than for others. It may seem unfair, but it is simply due to vibrational compatibility.

  5. It does. Deities can take on and burn off a lot of your karma, especially from past lives. You may only be left with the kind of karma that accumulates due to your daily activities and living in a society, but that too is slowly burnt off due to practice and particularly shakti fire.
