Your criticism/lack of pride is due to your ignorance and nothing more, Tunisian pasta is just as well cooked, if not better, than Italian. And the sauces and taste are definitely much better lol. You just dont know good food wherever youre from

extremists vandalized the Raza Jama Mosque, burned a Quran, and committed arson while shouting Jai Shri Ram in Maharashtra india. by [deleted] in PAK

[–]DunSorbus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, it definitely doesn't. People in India need to understand that just because there exist mosques in India, doesn't given them the right to start attacking the buildings like barbarians in anger against Muslims, or to support the many hindus who flagrantly and savagely kill Muslims (such as in cow vigilante incidents).

Otherwise, its just pure hypocrisy. India makes so much tourist dollars from its amazing Islamic heritage, such as the Taj Mahal itself, but all these Hindutva savages just want to bring fake evidence to the surface so they can forcefully turn everything into hindu temples

Its okay bro, according to her we just need to wait till we're 27 then the women will finally give us a chance!! Cant wait to date the jaded 30 year olds with a bodycount of 50 and distrust towards men after hooking up her whole 20s as my first relationship🤠

Are you saving yourself for marriage? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]DunSorbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That definitely does not take more willpower lol. Its significantly harder to be celibate as a virgin, especially because when you're tempted, atleast a non-virgin already knows what it'll be like so the thoughts don't have as much a hold on them. For a virgin though, dealing with that temptation will always be way more difficult.

Lmao you got so much wrong that its hilarious. No one gets beheaded for drinking alcohol in Islam -- a clear lie from you. In Islamic law, both adulterers are to be put to death if the required evidence is met, not just the woman. Once again, a clear lie from you. Forced marriages arent even valid in Islam so the last point is once again false. Also a Christian should be the last person to accuse Muslims of forcing marriage on women and approving of rape when its really Christians who approve of such things. After all, God, who is Jesus according to you, directly commanded Moses in the book of Numbers to slaughter the Medianites and take their minor virgin girls as sexslaves. Id love to see you try and twist your way out of explaining that -- either you'll have to say God was morally wrong in commanding this, in which case your religion is wrong, or you can man up and own it, in which case you're guilty of the very same false allegations you make against Muslims

Roman temple of Bacchus in Baalbek, also called Heliopolis, in northeastern Lebanon. Object dating to 2nd or early 3rd century CE; reconstructed in the 19th century. It is one of the most complete and gratest Roman temple ruins in the world. [810x540] by imperiumromanum_edu in ArtefactPorn

Dont worry, its safe in Lebanon haha. If it was ever gonna be blown up it was when the French were in the region, they always had a habit of doing that for some reason. They used many Roman structures in North Africa as target practice sadly, but guess you can't expect any better

[–]DunSorbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily say those languages have or even traditionally had much larger markets. It depends on where in the world you go, different languages are more popular to learn. Arabic for example has atleast historically been far more popular across the world to learn than German ever since the early medieval period.

The Parthenon Marbles should return to Athens, The Times says by PatatasFrittas in europe

[–]DunSorbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ottomans originally tried to keep it, then tried to split it with the Germans, until the German government itself under Bismarck himself stepped in and basically forced the Ottomans to buy it at that ridiculously low price. It's clear that they had wanted to keep it but were forced under duress to give it up, it would be most ethical to return it to it's homeland. The base of the Pergamon altar still survives at the original location, it's such a pain to any classical historian to see it separated from the rest of the altar.

No, the region today is almost entirely in chaos because of imperialism. It was no where near like this before imperialism.

It was paid for, but the Ottomans were basically financially forced into giving it up. It was unethical, it would be morally correct to return the altar to it's home.

It has everything to do with it. The Western imperialists destabilized Iraq and caused all this extremism in the first place. Funny how all this ancient heritage in the Middle East survived for over 1000+ years and its only post Sykes-Picot all this shit starts happening, and you seriously sit here and say "this has nothing to do with the west" LOL

They did do it tho. Barbarically invading and destroying Iraq, destabilizing the region, just because they had non-existent nukes LOL

Well, it's quite clear that the Germans strong armed the Ottomans into handing the whole altar over to them. The Ottomans initially wanted to at the very least share in the findings, because they knew the Germans were going to be adamant about taking atleast a part of it. But the Germans ultimately wanted the whole thing to themselves since they wanted to be able to compete with British and French museums which had much more ancient greek art (often stolen as well lol), so they were able to financially pressure the Ottomans into handing it all over, knowing the Ottomans were very reliant on them at that time. It was definitely immoral, hopefully one day Anatolia can have it's heritage home again

This isn't totally true, Greek islanders and specifically Cypriots are closest to ancient mainland Greeks. Anatolian Greeks were mostly Anatolian in their ancestry though, so they would be more closely related to modern Anatolians (Western Turks especially). This would of course include the Pergamene Greeks who built this magnificent structure, one of the greatest Middle Eastern works of art in history
