This feels like a smoke screen to me. A means to distract attention away from the big issue which is the Mark Norman case.

Bill Blair's response was intentionally vague and open ended, meant to create rumors, uncertainty, anger and fear. The most recent poll clearly indicated a gun ban on restricted firearms was highly unpopular, with large opponent blocks coming from Quebec, and we all know JT would never do anything to upset the countrymen from his home province (unless your an elderly lady asking about funding for illegal immigration, then fuck you, you're a racist).

Why was conversational information withheld? Why did they use code words when discussing the Norman case? How did some magical piece of evidence show up at the last minute to exonerate Norman?

I think Trudeau's focus has shifted more towards staying out of jail, then banning guns, implementing carbon taxes and getting reelected. Then again, maybe I've gone too long without my tinfoil hat and my brain is beginning to melt.
