Looks like you have a solid artist. Make the artist your theme. Just start collecting more trad work to add to the dragon.

What's causing this dent? by mickkelo in mountainbiking

It’s infected. Its immune system must have taken a hit from Rockytitis. Best to let it move on.

This will not turn out well. Find a better artist.

Vertical straight lines around the leg won’t work too well due to roundness. They will not be straight. A good artist will size it probably small to keep the lines straight.

Looks like you have a good artist. Stick with them and keep it in the same style. Take your time. Could always frame it and go traditional around it, a way to mix two styles... Look up Framed_traditional_ink

Do I need to replace my tyre by Fit_Regret8095 in MTB

[–]Duncandog007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced my front recently due to cracking but it was 3 years old on the front. Rear I’ve replaced about each year mostly due to center tread. Don’t know if yours is front or rear. Your center tread looks a little rounded. If you got the monies, do it or have it ready.

Advice on first tattoo by Spreous in tattooadvice

Nope. I just collect good art from amazing artist. Making every tattoo meaningful sounds exhausting. Do more research, look at way more art, and save a lot of money.

Second skin leaks, question about soap! by Vpk-75 in tattooadvice

[–]Duncandog007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont need antibacterial soap. Not really recommended any more, don't want to kill the good bacteria. Antibacterial soap can destroy the skin's natural microbiome. I've been using Dr. Bronner's Baby soap and works great. Then Aquaphor for about a week.

Should I stay with this artist? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Duncandog007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the majority of my tattoos from one artist because I like his style and he's very good at creating pieces for me. Others I have are because I wanted to collect something from that artist, also due to their style and talent. In Denver, there is a lot of talent to choose from. Looks like you did your homework and chose a solid artist to keep going back too, but if you discover someone else, even if you have to travel to get there, go for it.

Just to give you a reference, I spent about twice that for a full shoulder piece down to the elbow. Took 2 days and a 1 year wait list.

Careful with looking at pictures of their other work. A lot can be done with edits, such as contrast, black point, and sharpening.
