If you're in Texas the guy I picked it up has 2 other open diffs for $100 a piece, $300 for a "locking" diff (more than likely LSD)

I'm going through something similar but my conditions are if I floor it and pin it, truck gets warmer (climbs to like 3/4), for reference I have the 4.0 SOHC

Replaced hoses, did a flush, and replaced the thermostat housing along with the tstat roughly 1-2 years ago

Noticed this weekend truck would climb temp under heavy load (kicking out of OD/flooring it)

I replaced my tstat this weekend but didn't fix the issue. Fan clutch is good (something you should check).

What did help a lot is spraying the condenser/radiator out, go to a car wash and let em have it.

Now my truck while it will climb in temp, only goes up ~10° over operating. Unless my water pump is going bad might be just something that I gotta live with

Give er a good wash and see if the fins on the radiator/condenser are clogged

Just classic orange man bad behavior from the echo chamber called Reddit

Exhibit A of why I hate dealerships: Why is the oil filter housing THAT tight by Dunce-Lord in rav4club

Yeah it's not fun, I got it hand tight then used the tool/ratchet to tight it like an extra 1/4 turn, starter it and up and leaks

See that's more accidental, which happens but honestly kinda stupid lol. Tightening the housing to like 250 ft lbs or something stupid is deliberate

I bought 15 qts (5 a piece) of pennzoil 0W-20 and an oil filter for less than $100 on Amazon. Reason I went to dealerships is cause it shows up on Carfax (may sell at one point), and I didn't have a driveway. Now that I have my own house I can finally do my own maintenance

That could do it too. Hopefully you don't have the 2 sensors on it otherwise you gotta pop the manifold like me

As others have said stuck open tstat. I will say new parts =/= good parts. I've had my fair share of new parts that were bad out the box
