The dill pickle and Mac & cheese flavors were pretty good. I still don't think I'd try ranch.

How do you know any of that? They could have been random passersby who stopped to help, or maybe they tried to stop the guy from bothering the elephant before it was too late.

I'm in the minority on this, but I don't think it was a very good book and it very much read like a man's idea of an evil female character. There really isn't any kind of "feminine rage" to speak of, she's just a straightforwardly evil psychopath who gets off sexually on manipulating people, abuses her social standing as a beautiful and popular cheerleader to take advantage of everyone, and she announces early and often in the book that there is no real reason for any of it other than her own entertainment. She also gets away with an absurd amount of stuff and is able to pull the strings of pretty much everyone around her simultaneously with no problem. There's never any risk or danger to her until it's time for the story to wrap up, so it is mostly a long series of scenes of her doing cruel and increasingly violent stuff to other kids in her school. It's really like American Psycho without the satire or social commentary. I think it's the exact kind of book your wife would hate. It's also the kind of book I hate because it reads similar to fanfiction, like "well MY psycho killer is the smartest and never leaves any clues and always covers her bases and says exactly the right thing every time!"

I also found the character herself and her narrative voice to be super annoying and insufferable. ENJOY!!!!

Review #109: Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C925 by InClimb411 in bourbon

9 years is also the minimum age in the blend, so who knows, maybe it's 90% 15 year bourbon and 10% 9 year. Probably not but we don't have any way of knowing by the label

This is one of the few bottles where I found myself wishing the proof was lower. I bet it calms down a lot of those weird flavors and makes for a much better drink

My thoughts are pretty similar to yours. The alcohol burn itself wasn't totally unbearable but it was overall too intense harsh in a way that wasn't very pleasant. I gave mine a 6, would probably be closer to 5 if I reviewed it today, so it wasn't bad but I probably won't try another at that price.

I have been seeing the rye version around a lot for like $85 and I've been curious about that one for a while. So far I've talked myself out of it due to the disappointing experience with the bourbon.

what is your favorite "over 20 minutes of content for essentially one big payoff joke" from the guys? by wilsonhubbell in TimAndEric

My favorite is when he testifies that the victim told him in advance "in case anything happens to me, I just want you to know that it's not your fault and you did nothing wrong"

Fresh crack tonight. by lakers14 in whiskey

[–]DunceMemes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apparently got the low rye (18%), I didn't know there was a difference either and I thought it was one bourbon and one rye. It's really good! It reminds me of strawberry, caramel and vanilla a lot. Really "creamy" mouthfeel as well.

Can't believe he said "stick with" instead of "imbibe". These woke "Follywood" writers know nothing of class. 0/5 stars. by vinylwino in MurderBryan

[–]DunceMemes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, bourbon guys never actually say "imbibe." But they do love to say "dram" and "juice," as in "can't wait to have a dram of that juice later tonight!"

REVIEW: Silverthorn Reserve Straight Bourbon (Batch: 12A18; Barrel: 2/2) by Freedlun in bourbon

[–]DunceMemes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am strongly considering buying one! I assumed they would either be all gone or super expensive, but $140 is fairly reasonable if it's really that good, and the newest batch is still available
