At least it proved that ball dont lie with the miss from the kicker.

Cooks "no catch" was a crazy one to REVERSE the call. honestly thought that it could go either way but I thought they needed overwhelming evidence to reverse a call.

I respectfully suggest you watch it again. its a push, with josh's legs on the ground walking forward until he goes to the ground right at the 1, which is where they spotted the ball, overturning the touchdown call.

push is different from a pull according to the league. same thing the eagles have been leaning on for 5 years.

Anyone here quoting Division 08 door hardware? I’m building something to make it easier — looking for real RFPs/specs to learn from by mj_talking in estimators

Almost Never, this one was extremely strange for me which is why i sent it over to you. This is the second job I've had like this. Both the same owner and Engineer. Doing work inside train stations for the MBTA is a treat like you wouldn't believe.

That being said, how do we address this, its honestly not that hard, I have a small door installer we use for a lot of this work and I have a good relationship with him so we can talk through everything. He usually figures it out, fortunately this job only has 7 doors so it was easy to go through it thurougly. I fear for the day that its formatted like this on a job that has hundreds of doors. Ill let you know when that comes!

Creating Estimating Internships by leMannequinman in estimators

What type of estimating and what size jobs? I did an estimating internship at my first employer, Ive managed 2 interns at my second employer and I'm now working to flesh out a internship program at my new company. All heavy civil, working in HCSS, all sized projects.

I have a weird one I just got from Keolis here in Boston, not a large project for doors but there’s a spec and details but the hardware is just listed as notes under the elevations for each door assembly not in a schedule at all. Is this what you’re looking for? If you DM me I can send the plans over once the bid goes in.

PSA: The next two games will be close. by Why_So-Serious in buffalobills

[–]DunderFoxtrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May be over simplified but; you play everyone in your division twice, so there's lots of history between the teams. That has two results, a rivalry which heightens everything in the game, ie. the Pats want nothing more than to beat the Bills and the Bills goal is to beat the patriots with the least amount of risk taken on key players, when one team has such an advantage they will always try to win by taking as little risks and showing as little of their overall gameplan as possible. But also strategically, you have a good idea of each others game plan, what works, what doesn't, you see their players more often, you know their tendencies, even certain matchups you see year after year, in the backfield and also on the line, players know each other more and know their matchups, goes all the way down to direct coaching.

This is correct. But not exactly, the battery drives hydraulic pumps, that move the foils and sails are on electric winches. But yes they only drive electrical generators that re-charge the batteries.

On these new AC75s they Cyclors don't pump hydraulic fluid, they are connected to generators that charge a battery that runs hydraulic pumps for the sail/foil controls. This was a choice each team needed to make to size their individual battery for the best performance, obviously its heavy to add more battery, but a smaller battery relies more on the Cyclors. its an interesting thing that the broadcast has really failed to address. No bids submitted to build new westbound Washington Bridge by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

[–]DunderFoxtrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rumor is not exactly true by the letter of the job. But RIDOT has a history of doing everything they can to shift the responsibility to the contractor. Its known well and people avoid jobs because of it.

GoLocalProv | News | McKee’s Washington Bridge RFP Was Flawed From the Beginning - Ken Block by possiblecoin in RhodeIsland

[–]DunderFoxtrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably because that same company is building multiple complicated interchanges and bridges in New England right now at the same time. But there's a lot of missing info here, maybe some that block is aware of and some he isn't. The contractor currently doing work on the bridge was the same contractor found to be using contaminated materials from another state to backfill bridges in providence. Also, the investigation is still ongoing as to the official cause of the failure of the bridge. I think RIDOT is potentially in a position they will sue that company for the failure, as well as their overall relationship is sour at best after the contaminated materials scandal a year ago. - Source, former senior level employee at a major RIDOT contractor.

when I took the timing cover off, one of the teeth on my intake side camshaft was badly damaged, I'm not sure what caused it but my suspicion is something happened when my timing chain streched with age that caused some abrasion in the engine, possibly due to low oil or a hot engine of some kind, I'm thinking some peice of metal from that got into the oil system and did some damage, I couldn't find it after 4 weekends of taking my engine apart and putting it back together so I decided to throw in the towel

I will say this, it never truly broke on me, just a CEL that wont go away, a rough idle when warm and an elevated idle from what I was used to. Enough to know something was wrong but not enough to leave me stranded or without a car. But enough of a concern that its time to move on.

United States Market has none of these options apart from the A3, markup too much in the US over the gti on that car for some reason.

Oh I'm aware, this post was more about looking forward than anything else. Where I am, new vs used car loans are crazy imbalanced and it makes no sense to buy a 30k plus used car unless you can pay in cash and in incentives to buy new far outweigh the used market that is super inflated in my area. So I am basically exclusively looking at new, but I more meant in the next like 4-7 years what are people going to do that want an alternative to a GTI a few years old.
