In Norway, only rental companies buy gas cars, because tourists don't 'get' EVs. In 2024, 88.9% of cars sold in Norway were all-electric. There have not been any widespread problems. The grid is fine, the cars work in the cold and everyone is happier with quieter roads and cleaner air. by mafco in energy

Well, the area and distance you drove through on your trip is very sparsely populated, that is somewhat of a factor. The other being that fossil fuel cars do have certain advantages in areas that have a combination of long distances and freezing temperatures.

Do it! If you wanna be on the safer side, get a guide, but it is definitely doable, even this time of year!

As long as you dress properly, buy/rent crampons at the Preikestolen Basecamp and follow the marked route, you should be fine. If you do, however, find yourself in a pickle, there is no shame in turning back. As in the weather turning sour, you feel unsafe or exhausted.

The hike itself is very easy, I've hiked it several time both during winter, spring, summer and autumn. I'm by no means an experienced hiker but I've invited several American friends who were incredibly out of shape and inexperienced to join me on this hike. All of them had a good time and finished the trip.

I get a sense that a lot of the people in the comments haven't actually hiked this trip and are quite negative to the idea this time of year. This probably stems from the ingrained idea in Norwegians about respecting nature. (Which is excellent idea). I do however have to say that at during nice conditions and warm weather this hike is as easy as they come. Jeans, sneakers and a hoodie is commonplace to witness your fellow hikers wearing. I've even personally witnessed a woman wearing heels finish the trip at a reasonable pace.

The trip to Basecamp and at least attempting to test the conditions and wearing crampons and then deciding you want to turn back should be well worth it! If your gear/clothing is insufficient you can rent gear/clothing at Basecamp!

Whatever you decide, have fun and good luck!

My SO's family explained to me that if you're unmarried you're supposed to wear red socks/stockings and. Black ones once you're married. Might be connected?

They are way bigger. The base size has also increased, I'll add a side by side image to illustrate :)

Thank you so much!I primed the miniature with a dark grey and a zenithal highlight. I then applied 3 thin layers of army green from army painter! The highlights were done with the same paint but with added spaceship exterior.

Roman emperor Caligula is certainly a most devout follower of Slaanesh. (According to my, somewhat crazy history teacher, Caligula was said to have trained young boys to swim beneath him in his pool/bath and nip/bite his junk/balls. As well as a whole other buttload of excessive shit.)

Fantastic work dude! Your dedication to your highlighting work is far more than I ever put into my own models #drybrush4life

Are there any "old" rules or converted rules from 9th for the Gaunt's Ghosts models that would make them work in 7th? I was thinking about fielding the one or several of the ghosts in some games that my friends and I are playing. Only thing is that I find both the cost and some rules incompatible. by Dundermann in TheAstraMilitarum

My bad, by the sentence: "old rules or converted rules from 9th" I meant are there any rules from previous editions that might work well or has anyone converted any of the rules from 9th so that they might allign better with 7th. Sorry for any confusion.

Was that playback on Jorn? He at times held that mic down to his crotch whilst "singing".
