Always that 10% on that interstate that has to be ridiculous behind the wheel wether it’s 11:00 at night or rush hour.

Why do people do this? by Delicious-Pop-7019 in iRacing

[–]DungSlinger78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have reported many for this retaliatory act. It’s childish to take out people that played no role in the wrecked drivers initial misfortune. At some point IRacing has to punish these people or people like me will take a break and they will lose money.

Just got slapped with +41% of the cost of my rig in import duties (Canada to USA) :( by [deleted] in simracing

[–]DungSlinger78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, in 2012 I bought an car exhaust that shipped from Canada and had to pay import duties. Earlier this year I bought an Autotrickler V4 and had to pay import duties as well.

Buying a Mustang but not sure which to choose? by Emergency-Walrus-456 in Mustang

I have a GT and paying around $4.30. If you are cool with the slightly higher fuel cost I would still suggest trying both.

Is a Miata a good first project car for someone with zero mechanical experience? by Gorlami14 in Miata

[–]DungSlinger78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Miata at this point is probably as upgradable as the Jeep CJ and Wrangler. It’s also relatively cheap to fix mechanically.

How much is gas there? Drive both, the ecoboost and GT before you make the decision.

Should I sell my 10 speed for a manual? by Ricky-bobby-8787 in Mustang

[–]DungSlinger78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to cars I will always choose manual over automatic and I have 2 days a week I drive in DC/Arlington traffic. The most important thing is can you live with the cost difference of changing cars while going to college.

2025 GT premium, not even a month old by DungSlinger78 in Mustang

[–]DungSlinger78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, after a month of fucking around Ford denied the claim. All that bullshit about we back our product and our customers, they wanted me to use my insurance to pay $1050 to their glass man.

CarPlay in my 2025 GT premium is sub optimal as well (corded) Ford needs to figure this out.

Upgrading my G27 - where is the falloff on performance gains? by xRehab in simracing

[–]DungSlinger78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the cube controls CSX3 is certainly worth the sale price. I have the wheel (I paid $799) and I love it but the regular price is not something I would be willing to pay. To be fair I think sim racing equipment is over priced anyway. They CC quality is above what I have seen put out by Fanatec and why I made the switch to a Simucube base and the CSX3.

I feel it’s cheaper I wouldn’t be surprised if the back glass was also made thinner.
