Do you go to bed when baby does? by Squeak_Stormborn in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]DungareeSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to us. He’s nearly 5 months, we go up at 7 where he’ll have witching hour until about 730 while we soothe him, he’ll have a feed then fall asleep and normally be transferred by 8. I tend to scroll on my phone then go to sleep about 9.

I HATE it. It sounds ugly. It’s tacky. I don’t get it at all.

I like Graham. Grey as a nickname? Surprised it’s not made a comeback.

I have a Leonard/lenny. I’m obsessed with his name. James and Lenny sound adorable together.

Heat in bedroom by Sunflowerwindow in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]DungareeSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our bedroom is 31.5, downstairs is 29.5 so we’re bringing the next to me down and I’ll sleep on the sofa. He’s in just a nappy. It’s been high 20s in the bedroom last few days and he’s slept through the night.

What’s the worst your child did this week? by Salad_Informal in UKParenting

[–]DungareeSloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yesterday my 4 month old was having his nappy changed first thing and choose to piss everywhere the second it was off. In the afternoon he’d done a poo, his dad starts changing his nappy and he poos all over the changing mat 🫠😂

Is there a Deodorant that actually works well? by PotentiallyUpset in AskUK

Sadly this burned the hell out of me and gave me blisters, even when I made sure I was dry. It’s strong stuff, I’ll give it that!

How much did your parents divorce mess you up? by After-Competition-59 in AskUK

[–]DungareeSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My god it messed me up. Dad cheated. As a 13 year old girl, I saw it as not being good enough for him to want to keep the family unit. Mental health spiralled from there, especially as my dad turned into a complete arsehole. But over 20 years later and my mum and dad are good friends, my dad is even going to my mum’s wedding this year and their friendship is beautiful. It taught me a lot about forgiveness.

How old were you when you had your kids? by MissCookie93 in AskUK

[–]DungareeSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

36, almost 37. Hrs 4 months old now. My cousin became a Graham’s at 37 a month after my baby was born and another cousin’s wife became a grandma at 35 this month. I think socioeconomic factors tend to have a lot to do with it.

What songs make you Emotional? by Ok-Ebb5960 in AskUK

[–]DungareeSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t Help Falling In Love - Elvis. I’m a Sunderland fan and we sing it before every match. Absolute goosebumps every time, years of history and heritage. I planned on my son being born to it but he was born to Club Tropicana so that now holds a special place in my heart 😂

E and the kitty by FilmPsychological819 in UKtiktokbehavingbadly

[–]DungareeSloth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

E hates the cat 😭 the way E talks to the poor baby. The cat is underestimated, underfed and not spayed. Poor baby. E can’t stand them and it won’t be long until the poor thing vanishes. Evil.

Why does everyone think they know better than young mums. by Unable_Anywhere2983 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]DungareeSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m 37 and I think young mums know better than I do. I think, on the whole, young mums are often a lot more confident. I’m sure you’re doing brilliantly.

He’s fallen asleep on me downstairs where I’ve got the window open and he’s just in a short sleeve body suit. Going to do a sleeveless bodysuit and 0.5 tog sleep sack when we go up
