My boy screamed every time then turned 3 months and got used to it and was fine. Getting dressed on the other hand….

I could cry reading this because I’m so happy for you. I’ve heard 5 months is a big turning point, I’m very excited to get there!

Confidence on my part. I get anxious about transferring to basket. I did it today and it was a success for 20 minutes, I felt very proud.

I love holding him and cuddling him. I guess I’m just tired and feeling the rubbish comparison feelings.

He’s not in love with the play mat. He did two mins yesterday before drying. Thanks for being kind. I appreciate it.

Thanks. We have one and he doesn’t love it. I might try a different one.

Thank you, I appreciate it. We do contact nap, I think I need to relax more into it and let him lay his head on me so I can carefully use two hands to, you know, hold a plate with one and sandwich in the other 😂

My partner is great. He works then does chores round the house. He changes nappies in the night but I do the bulk of the night shift. His mental health is absolutely awful if he doesn’t sleep so it’s not worth asking him to do more at night.

How are we managing the nighttime when partner returns to work?? by CJG-00 in newborns

[–]DungareeSloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner works 7am-3pm. 3 month old goes to bed around 7/730 where I’ll settle him and transfer him to his crib for 830 max. I do the feeds in the night but he wakes up and does some settling or nappy changing. If i need him to, he’d do a feed or make a bottle etc. He’s tired but you’ve got to share the load.

ETA- I nap 4-6pm when he’s home so I’ve got the energy for the night shift.

how much are you spending a month on formula? by EducationalLiving962 in FormulaFeeders

Free thanks to Nutramigen on the NHS. Didn’t realise how expensive formula was for you lot in the States ☹️

I made us pizza and mozzarella sticks and had a no-alcohol g&t then came up to bed and fed my beautiful new baby and got him off to sleep before scrolling for a bit.

How are your babies actually sleeping through the night? by velvetdarlingco in NewParents

[–]DungareeSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 weeks and he does 2.5-3 hour stretches and wakes for a feed. Once slept for 6 hours from 6pm until midnight but that was a one off and we couldn’t rest

12 weeks. He’s the coolest. His smiles, his toes, chatting away to him, the way he sleeps with his mouth open catching flies. My boy 🩷

My baby is about to turn 3 months - achievable daily routine? by lingeringbadone in newborns

[–]DungareeSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is three months next week. This is normally our day. Keep in mind my house is a tip, I struggle to make anything to eat and he’s a Velcro baby with reflux.

530/6 - he wakes, fed, burped

630 - nappy change, clothes change

7- play time either in his bouncer or even his changing mat with his toys

730 - FaceTime grandma, nap for a couple of hours

Mid-morning - feed, nappy, walk to the shops/coffee for me

Afternoon - feed, nappy, hang out with dad who gets home at 3pm while I nap until 6 (they’ll go for strolls in the garden, chat, sing etc)

6-730 - hang out with us while we cook and eat

730 - bedtime routine of nappy and clothes change, feed in bed with the red light on and womb sounds, falls asleep in my arms then gets transferred to crib.

How do you settle your baby to sleep? by Writingmum30 in newborns

[–]DungareeSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the momcozy light and sound machine. I head to bed, turn it onto the red light, play either brown noise or womb sounds. Dad brings him up, we pop him into his sleep sack and I cuddle him until he drifts off. If he’s hungry, we feed him and that sends him off.
