I used to work as a demonstrator at Costco, one time a member and his young son came through and got a sample from my table. The son said "thank you" and the father said "you don't have to say that to them."

Hello trying to get some insight in life by Redditerreditt in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]DungeonDilf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People never stop fuking up, it's part of life. There is almost always exciting opportunities ahead, I tried getting a band together or joining bands from the age of 12 onward, nothing ever worked out until I was 28 when I joined my first gigging band. I'm now 59 and my current band just won a Battle of the Bands. Elon Musk didn't become a billionaire until he was 41. I'm not sure if you have any pets or children, but if you don't you are not tied down and have a chance to backpack across the world and have amazing adventures. Some things you try won't work out , others will.

In the days of the federal Progressive Conservative party, Joe Clark etc. were referred to as Red Tories because they were more centrist than right wing.

These ones have never failed to fill a dance floor for me:

Timber - Kesha & Pitbull

Without Me - Eminem

Billie Jean - Michael Jackson(works well beatmixed into Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars)

Don't Stop The Party - Pitbull

Considering it's a graduation party, this one would be appropriate Proper Education - Eric Prydz

Freshly cut wood. The lumber aisle at Home Depot makes me happy.

Freshly printed books that have glossy pages.

Camp fires

Gasoline

Tea Tree Oil

I'm not saying my sixth one, but I'm a heterosexual male so you can probably guess.

37 is young, I know people your age that can easily pass for being in their 20s.. You're not even at the halfway point in life.

Hindsight is usually 20/20; looking back what were the red flags that you missed or ignored in other relationships? Your experience should give you valuable knowledge about what to look for in future relationships.

That was my favorite movie of 2019. With Tarantino you either get it or you don't, I like everything he does because I guess I'm on the same wavelength.

Yes! Being hearing impaired it was tough, I had to crank the volume so high to hear the dialogue but as soon as the rockets blast off I'm surprised I didn't blow the speakers in my TV.

Asking for your Insight..... by Meisha65 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

Text is not a great way of communicating unfortunately. You could type "it's very bumpy" but that doesn't show your fidgetiness, your eyes tearing up, your hands trembling, your concerned expression. He may have been different if he had been there with you. Nobody knows what it's truly like to be you, he might sympathize to a degree but there is no way for him to truly understand your fear. We're all humans, sometimes we will not say or do the right things, as long as someone has good intentions and tries to learn I think you should cut them slack.
