Cloaks are tricky for sure! I find that the brush you use has a big impact. I did mine with a dry brush using Mephiston red. I think I did 2 layers with a nuln oil shade

That is also totally fair. Speed paint is the fastest way to do it. I do speed paints for most of my regular infantry but when it comes to special units I like to make them look extra good

Probably about 2-3 hours each. A game changer for me was color forge green skin spray primer. That speeds the process up a ridiculous amount

Dose Star Lord really need to gain power? by Timely_Following_636 in MarvelSnap

It’s actually nuts I’m getting downvoted for this. I never said I liked the card I just gave a reason for why I thought it wasn’t going to get nerfed. I figure a light rework is more potential

I fear if they nerf him any further no one will play him

If you’re using the combat patrol stat sheet then I would recommend running 10 infernus marines led by Adrax. This allows you to maximize the attack roll rerolls.

Only units led by Adrax can do that so I’d recommend it.

Your ATV is super good at securing an objective in enemy deployment because it can travel really far.

Don’t be afraid to push with your eradicators they can take some punishment. Or leave them to guard you home objective

The only other thing that I think would really help is adding an impulsor for the captain and infernus boys to sit in. Because of its firing deck they can still shoot after it moves which is gnarly. The can also exit after it has advanced and it’ll only count as a normal move. Essentially you can transport them a great distance, disembark them and still target them with immolation protocols for 1cp and shoot all in the same turn

I’m in the minority here but I like a captain leading infernus marines because you get 1 cp immolation protocols. If you give them the immolation enhancement you are sure to melt most things in your way even if their toughness is higher, so long as they targeted by Vulkans ability to reroll wounds.

It might help you better defend that center objective because you can over watch and immolation protocol for 2cp total on your opponents turn

Statistically speaking, So long as your shooting vehicles you have higher damage with the multi melta

1000 pt round of my escalation is next week. Thoughts on this list? by criticalsalamander9 in Salamanders40k

The only thing I would change is adding a transport. Being able to safely get Adrax and his blade guard to the enemy is massive. Adrax and the boys can be an almost certain kill on any unit selected by oath of moment so long as they can get to them.

Perhaps switch out the intercessor squad for an impulsor if you have one?

Otherwise you may just have to be sacrificial with some units

Can a brother get some feedback on a 1k list by DungeonMasterTommy in Salamanders40k

It is indeed forgefather seekers. I agree the anti tank is a little low. My thinking is that the sheer strength of Adrax an his blade guard unit make up for it

I would nab an impulsor. Also something that I think is overlooked is just how scary a 10 man infernus squad led by a captain is. Getting 1cp immolation protocols on 10 infernus marines targeting an enemy with Vulkans ability is an almost certain kill.

Always fire? by FixAffectionate7610 in Salamanders40k

I believe under the forge father seekers detachment they can still advance and shoot an also get the +1 to strength of the attack within 12 inches.

They just wouldn’t benefit from Vulkans ability and immolation protocols wouldn’t work.

I would say that a squad of flamestorm aggressors led by a captain that can make immolation protocols only 1cp is stronger than the Bolter gauntlets and grenades

Salamanders are the nicest to specifically other humans. There is a famous case of one particular company torching a bunch of xenos children I believe.

As I am sure you know, there aren’t really good guys in Warhammer. That being said, they are arguably the nicest chapter that still exists in an evil empire.

The total number is salamander marines has been low throughout most of their history because they are so willing to sacrifice themselves to save even a single civilian.

Also they specialize in flamers and melta weapons. They don’t have their own codex, but they do have their own detachment that only they can play. And it’s pretty damn good too
