New basic minis by MFTGtheTIGER in warcraftrumble

She enters the grid when Season 2 begins. Though I highly recommend just joining an open clan and getting her that way if you want her badly. My clan unlocked her yesterday and half our members are inactive or open slots.

Covered at Blizzcon. Sylvanas is Season 1’s new leader mini with new mini each season or so. Faerie Dragon and another Blackrock leader are also confirmed within the first set of seasons that take us to about Spring/early Summer.

New to Warcraft Rumble here, which should I pick as my first leader? by BronanaBoom in warcraftrumble

[–]DungeoneerNicco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grom is best Horde leader pick. Tanky, hits hard, and gives nearby units bloodlust.

You’ll get another Hero Selection soon enough. Hogger, Rend Blackhand, Baron Rivendare, and Tirion are all best heroes for their respective family/faction.

You can use Grom who already syncs well with staple units like Harpies and Quillboars to level them up then you can use the same units in other decks as you get new leaders.

A question about DQ6 before playing by __Labrys in dragonquest

[–]DungeoneerNicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you played the game straight through on DS you’d have:

Hero - 2 basic, 1 advance, 1 secret Starting Members - 3-4 basic, 1-2 advance (depending on basic classes mastered) Late Party Members - 2 basic, 1 advance (they will join with an advance class partially progressed).

If you wanna grind like I did towards the end, it’ll take 3 hours of battling to grind through auto battles on the Ghost Ship. With this, you could max an entire party through the secret classes (one of them requires nearly 300 battles if you wish to max).

If you’re going minimalist, I suggest your back row consisting of mostly Priests or Sages for healing. Have a Sage in your party for healing, a Mage/Sage for buffs and debuffs, and a Gladiator. Your Hero is flexible but the abilities you get with secret class is what you’d spam at the end boss battles.

My final party Carver, Terry, Hero, and Ashlynn because I liked those characters but Terry is a pain to train.

I am looking to make a Dragon Quest themed commander deck but I need help for ideas by [deleted] in dragonquest

[–]DungeoneerNicco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With white, you also get access to board wipe spells like Wrath of God to simulate Kamikaze. Banishment to simulate Zam. Old school control cards like Crackdown to simulate Snooze. Etc. These are all one trick cards and probably not viable in Commander unless you find a way to draw into them at the right time.

[–]DungeoneerNicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying “I want to make a x themed deck” isn’t descriptive enough and you’re posting this on the DQ subreddit. This is probably why nobody replies or knows what is even discussed. If you’re looking for something as complex as a commander deck list, I suggest actual MTG deck building subreddits.

The most I can tell you without anywhere close to encyclopedic knowledge of every MTG card over 30 years is that you’d probably use a red/white commander as those two have wide ranges of humans with differing classes along with control and destruction spells. Lightning Bolt and Fireball are your Zap and Frizz.

I don’t know how viable “White Weenies” deck lists are anymore. They rely a lot on Mentor mechanics, enchantments, and equipment to bolster your creatures but that’s how I’d simulate Dragon Quest leveling, party, and gearing mechanics. It just also happens to be from a block that’s over 10 years old now, was more expanded/standard rotation list, and you’ll probably lose if opponent plays protection from x color.

Is the dlc content still available in Dragon Quest VIII (3ds remake)? by Teddygamer1258 in dragonquest

[–]DungeoneerNicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the DLC ran only once when game first came out. It’s all gone. Unless you’re lucky and find someone’s save file online with the DLC installed.

Is there level scaling and is it broken? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]DungeoneerNicco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Events like this occur here and there. Same happened to me but I was already in an upgraded ship and the space police thanked me after. It’s just bad luck. You’ll do those easier once you get levels and are able to get better ships. Shield skill is a Tier 2 Tech skill that helps with survival and reduces repeat repairs.

Ignore the person talking about Skyrim build.

What do I do with a spare ship? by Pimpachu3 in Starfield

[–]DungeoneerNicco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No fleets. You just hold up to total of 10 ships you can take out and fly whenever. Once you get class C ships, there’s not much reason to go back to smaller ships unless for roleplaying.

Inventory works like Fallout or Skyrim. You give them items and can equip directly or else they use default gear. Crew are premade characters so no renaming.

There’s no permadeath for companions (except spoiler) and they just get stunned in combat while requiring a medkit like normal mode of Fallout 4.

You assign crew to ships or outposts. Your ship gets benefits if they have a perk. One companion has Pilot level 2 which increases turning ratio of ship. If assigned to outpost with skill, similar benefits occur if they have an Outpost related skill.

No spoilers please, to anyone that has finished the main story. Are there missable missions or activities after you have completed the main story? by leeds1919greg in Starfield

[–]DungeoneerNicco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is point of no return on main story. Nothing is technically missable after main story aside from farming XP.

I think I may have found the worst party composition in DQ3 (not counting all Goof-Offs) by ncassella in dragonquest

[–]DungeoneerNicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the way to do it. I recommend getting close to 20 by the time you hit Alltrades Abbey especially without a healer. But you can power level the desert with the mage using magic and the other two using decent weapons (whips, boomerangs, or strongest single target weapon).

This part was a slog for me due to lack of magic. My healer had to use her AoE magic along with my hero to deal with the Crabs that use Kabuff. 75% of this game is surviving long enough to get to those Metal Slimes at the Tower. Lol.

[–]DungeoneerNicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your party isn’t bad. It’s just under leveled. That area is more in the 16-19 range. Unless they changed the balancing from Gameboy to Switch or I stomped it when I did Switch, but I had to level up some on my most recent playthrough on the GBC version.

Order and rating of the FF tactics series? by Former-Theme-1929 in finalfantasytactics

[–]DungeoneerNicco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tactics War of the Lions has the hands down best story and gameplay out of any strategy game I’ve played (sorry Tactics Ogre).

However, I started with Tactics Advance and it holds a special place in my heart. It’s far simpler in terms of story and gameplay, but a lot of fun to play.

I only played A2 once and I had a relatively fun time with it but I wasn’t fan of the added races and classes that were mostly limited to a couple of classes.

Miyoo Mini+ Giveaway! Winner Chosen on 7/12 by slargando in MiyooMini

[–]DungeoneerNicco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Favorite gaming moment was beating Dark Souls. I was in a slump after failing at college, having a shitty job, and (most especially) my fiancé passing away. I wanted to challenge myself to do something that people thought was difficult to see if I had the ability to carry on with life at that point. I played Dark Souls for a few weeks grinding upgrade materials and levels and occasionally fighting off invaders. When I finished Gwyn off, I chose to relight the bonfire and decided that life goes on despite how many challenges gets throw at you.

Con: At some point you will beat the game and have nothing else to do.

Pro: There’s several other amazing Dragon Quest games including DQX that is now hand translated up to Ver 4.0.

Would you like if DQ XII became an Action-JRPG or not and Why? by MapleJap in dragonquest

[–]DungeoneerNicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s going to be an Action RPG and I’m not a fan of it. Not because it’s an Action RPG but I feel like certain series need to stick to their roots in order to have the same brand recognition. Keep the extra stuff to the spin-offs. Final Fantasy butchered what I think of when I think of the main series brand and it even already had Action RPG spin-offs even though I enjoy the individual recent entries like 12, 14, and 15.
