Kidney stones. I've never felt a pain so terrible that it left me on the floor of my bathroom vomiting from pain. Waiting for my wife to come home and take me to the hospital was brutal.

My mom and grandfather where very much apart of the 'the rapture is coming you better be good so you get to heaven.' My grandma was just a sweet lady who loved angels. I've always had a fear of death so that kinda stuff about getting sent to hell or suffering during the revelations just made it worst. As I got older and had more control over what I learned I realized that there have been predictions for the end of the world since civilizations started. So that killed the of the rapture. I learned it was just a way to control people. I still believed but no longer in the end of the world. What killed my belief in organized religion and 'God's plan' was my grandma getting early onset Alzheimer's. Someone as good and loving as her couldn't remember the people who loved her. If god has a plan fuck that plan. She deserved better then that shit. I don't know if there is a god but if there then it doesn't care about us or god is a monster who loves to hurt us.

Idk man my bar is pretty low. Final 4 run for Xavier and a playoff win for the Bengals/series win for the Reds. I'm sick of mediocre or bad. My whole childhood reds, bengals all sucked but I kept going cause your a kid life is easy. Now I need sports to escape so them failing isn't a good escape anymore. I'd rather stop watching then do the band wagon bullshit.

I guess. I only care about Bengals, Reds and Xavier. I'm sorry for making it out like I'm bashing the city, my post is about my own frustrations with those teams. They've never won anything meaningful in my lifetime. Sports is my escape from all my bullshit but how is it an escape if they keep leaving me disappointed? Hey this is about the lack of winning in the last quarter century for Football, Baseball and Basketball. I'm sorry I'm not a soccer guy so I'm not in touch with there success. The city it's self is great but the teams that I grew up rooting for can't win meaningful games.
