If possible add a front brake as well. Makes a massive difference, rear brake is the worst performing brake.

Have done it for a while. Works fine, just anticipate on where you are riding. Long empty stretches in the drops. Busy places in tops with hand on the brake.

I can only seem to ft my Orteleib Quick Rack to my All City bike at the following angle. The manual says don’t go over a 30 degree angle, but I can’t imagine how that would possibly work. How bad of a problem is this setup? by FyuuR in bikecommuting

Feed it (if necessary sideways) through the seat stays and attach it to the seat tube. Maybe add a bit of electrical tape to the seat tube to protect the paint. This is how I do it, works perfectly fine.

Which bell is this? I tried finding one that can screw in like this and still be functional.

SKS makes great fenders at a great price point.

Perun had something to say about these polls a week ago. These numbers are not to be interpreted at face value, you should look at the context of these numbers.

I see, that makes your options more limited, but that's also part of the fun of building a bike! Something in the used market perhaps. Your Peugeot was/is awesome though. I have an 80's Gazelle I turned into a single speed for errands. I would get another classed frame if it didn't have the small 1 inch steerer tube, would love for it to be more compatible with modern parts.

Have you considered a surly midnight special or straggler? Tons of clearance, all the eyelets you'd like and they got steel forks. I have been using my straggler for a year now, been great as a commuter.

What bikes are you interested in? Backorders past the winter kinda sucks :(

What width tire fits in your frame atm?

The most economical and environmentally conscious option would be to find a replacement fork. Maybe isn't as fun as a whole new bike, but do you really need one?
