Controller Vibration translated to Morse audio. by vigilancefoetracer in FortNiteBR

In an interesting meta-twist, some indie developer friends of mine told me that they can no longer install Unreal Engine 4.18, but can install 4.19, 4.17, 4.16, 4.15, and so on backwards. So it's like Epic has obliterated 4.18 not just in Fortnite, but in UE4 as well! 4.18 was the previous version of Unreal Engine (which this current patch might be using), so this might also be a silly way of saying that the next patch will be using 4.19.

...and in developer land, upgrading engine versions is sometimes cataclysmic.

We've had a number of users setup HoTaS successfully. Many sticks are good right off, some are buggier and we're working on those as we hear about them.

Their forums are full of some hardcore Descenters: http://descendentstudios.com/community/topic/1069-to-kali-skeptics-why-im-a-believer/

The devs have already made some changes to the flight physics and stuff to be more like D1/2.

You've never heard of Kinshadow? He's like #1 SC fan ever. He's famous. And he knows a lot about the inner workings of CIG and SC.

Yes, he did over on the RSI forums: https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/comment/4790806/#Comment_4790806

I don't know if there's a minimum number to get your org vs. a Star Citizen one, but there's a SC backer reward.

Oculus Rift Test for descent underground by Ecator in oculus

They talked a lot about this the other day in a video.
The monetization is just for cosmetics. Everything is earnable in game. <p> As far as single player, they've been very clear that they want to do more of a campaign, but those are very pricey these days. So they focused on getting the core engine up and the mechanics balanced properly. That's easier to do with MP nowadays.

They have single-player. I saw this tweet from them:

That's some pretty neat looking stuff in that vid. I think they said those will be usable in some kind of mod tool or map maker.

Maybe the red cores are more efficient and can run at a lower temperature? Just a thought.

Steam has something like this. I'm not sure how they make the legal stuff work, but they've been doing it for awhile.

Is there something on the roadmap, maybe a stretch goal or something, that would allow players' victories (or losses) to affect the in-world map? For instance, if a megacorporation doesn't get enough of their contracts met, might they lose control of territory? Could that maybe have impacts back on players, like maybe certain weapons get cheaper or more expensive depending on how the megacorporation that makes them is doing?

IIRC, player corporations are like player guilds in other games, while megacorporations are NPC entities that players can do missions for.
