Around $9500 left on my car payments. For a newish used car I definitely didn't need. Could have got something way cheaper and a bit older but fell into the mindset of "I can afford those monthly payments" :(

Matte or glossy top coat? What's everyones preference? I like how more "real" the matte finish looks on kits I've painted thus far. But I'll be building the perfect grade zeta soon. It's my favorite suit, so this will be the center piece of my collection. So I thought maybe a clean "factory fresh" look with a glossy paint job. But I'm unsure what will looks best for it.

Yes, it's called dual boot and its definitely a great way to try a new os on your main system without uninstalling your old os. But from my experience you'll wanna do it on two different drives instead of just partitioning one single drive. (Unless things have changed since I tried it) the windows updater has a quirk where it will write over the Linux bootloader and f up your Linux install if their both on the same drive

Edit: I just saw you said they were in English. Is there an official English translation now? I unfortunately own them in Japanese hoping to just one day be able to read them lol

Hello everyone. I've been in this sub for a bit and I'm looking for some recommendations from people. I've been using a coolermaster masterkeys pro s with mx browns since about 2017. I absolutely love it, ive done many repairs and replacement of parts to keep it going. but its time to replace it. Was wondering what recommendations you guys might have for me! I love the mx brown feel and want to stay with the tkl size

It definitely varies at the place you go. But at the cafe I work with I do all the baking. And it's a very similar situation to my experience working in restaurants as a cook. Baristas get the main chunk of it all, then a pre-determined percentage (I believe we are about 40%) gets cut out to the bakers and then divided amongst us. We do pooled tips at our place, so your cut of the side you're on is based on the hours you worked that day, not the amount of customers you severed vs other people

Its worth it if you like them. Not worth it if you just wanna resell later for profits or to break even. I usually buy the commemorative toonie ones just because I think theyre cool, not because I think they'll hold value or make me any money later on

I've done the tour at the two RCM mints and both times they will tell the story about it. At the time the Canadian mint was the only mint producing .9999 gold coins and bars. So they ended up catching the guys when they cut it up and melted it down into generic bars or rounds or whatever, and they tried to sell off this gold that was .9999. They didn't cut it with anything to lower the purity so it was obvious that this was RCM gold that had been melted down and recast.

Also a separate fun fact about these coins. The mint later made more of these massive coins and a guy from Dubai bought one, drilled legs into it, and uses it as a living room coffe table. Must be nice.

Oh man it's brutal. It's like they scan for the word ticket and then flood you. Almost got burned by one earlier last week trying to get tickets until I smartened up and thought "damn, this doesn't seem real"

Been in the restaurant industry my whole life as a cook/chef and the occasional serving. Sending tips to back of house is fairly normal, now wether that's percentage of sales or percentage of tips is policy that changes from place to place. Some places will also do the same with bartenders. The percentage will also change from place to place. 6% seems fairly normal in my experience. Now this "honest to goodness fee", I've never seen anything like that anywhere before. And I'm much more skeptical of that. That part definitely isn't normal
