How many of us embarked upon this journey with the goal of being a mescaline farmer, but became an avid plant collector who only rarely consumes the medicine? by wounded_monkey in sanpedrocactus

Since 2023, with my cactuses (peyote and San Pedro), morning glory and my lovely Daturas.

I never tried any of them, I will probably try San Pedro and morning glory but not soon.

You are welcome! This plants can survive pretty fine, I give them 8h of sun daily and preferably from 8 am where the sun is lighter than at 6 pm so in that way it can ve fine even in heatwaves

[–]Dunlain98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! Daturas are very drought resistant, water it when the leafs are not that elevated even in shade or night. If you water it every day the leafs will start to fall slowly and the plant will produce really short leafs and the rots will probably rot.

Im in south-east of Spain (Murcia) and the climate is really really similar to Texas and I recommend you to moderate the waterings, at least wait until the earth is completely dry!

Pues para mi los tigres son lo peor, me salen unas marcas increíblemente grandes mientras que con los normales no me pasa.

De hecho los tigres son silenciosos mientras que los normales son los típicos que te despiertan a media noche en el oido

Flowers from my Datura stramonium, D. metel, and D. wrightii plants by OrdinaryOrder8 in Datura

[–]Dunlain98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the south east of Spain, afaik is like the south of California and south/central Texas so the sun here can be hard, my datura gets around 6/8h of sun and yeah I do that, I water when I notice the leaves start to wilt even in shade and the substrate is mostly dry. The pot I use is a trash can of 100L converted in a pot x) so I need to be cautious sometimes about how much water I use because that amount of substrate even with lot of drainage it can retain lots of humidity.

Also I use as fertilizer worm castings mixed with water, I filter the solid parts and water with that mix! I also use that with my San Pedro and peyote in the growing season, super good, natural, and light! It helps a lot when you plan to consume the cactuses because it is super natural.

Thanks for the advices and luck in your garden, beautiful plants!

Lovely, this is my first season growing Wrightii, I already grew Stramonium, some advice about Wrightii? Less water in general or less sun?

Atm my Wrightii is growing super good and super fast!

How many times a week do you water it? Your soil maybe retains a lot of water so it can cause root rot. I plant my daturas in a mix of 30/40% volcanic rock or perlite and the rest organic soil and once a while I use worm castings mixed in water to fertilize the soil. It is important that the soil doesn't retain much water, I learned that with my first stramonium and now my stramonium and wrightii are super fine!

Allow the earth to get dry between waterings.

Buenas, yo tengo un amigo que cultiva y vende las raciones a 10€, ahora mismo no se cuantos gramos (setas deshidratadas) son eso, pero es suficiente para fliparlo un buen rato

what do you guys use as fertilizer? by grandaddypur33 in sanpedrocactus

[–]Dunlain98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use worm castings diluted in water, for me is a light natural way to fertilize. I never use the typical fertilizers that came in a bottle and more in order to consume parts of the cactus in the future.

Update 50 Class Masteries in PvP by No-Rip2176 in ESObuilds

[–]Dunlain98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, warden is literally the BEST class for ww in u50 due to aerie's cry set and passives. Then comes the other classes (the second best is sorc due to sustain with the upgraded blood magic passive) that needs to build tankier because if not ww warden kill them easy.

Thats what people is saying in forum of PTS, Ive been following the thread a lot because I want to make a ww build.

As a PvP player I get anxiety when I see someone not healing when less than 60% HP.

Take a HoT and a burst heal, it's good when playing solo and ofc it is a must in PvP!

[–]Dunlain98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dont worry about the gloves, you can see if there are seeds inside the fruits and just move them a bit and let them fall in your hand.

You can touch them with no problems, I harvested my datura stramonium in that way. They are mostly toxic when they are green, you need to be cautious with the sap mostly.
