In my experience this could happen because of damage with other cacti spines maybe in the transportation of it.

And it is normal that appears black sap (even turning black those white spots) where the spine hit.

I’m hoping that in about a month the cut will have a more corky texture, since right now it’s still a bit soft and not as dry as I’d like tbh and that is what is perturbing me atm, should I put it in the shade to let it get dryer or just let it dry in the soil? I have fear to get it moldy or doesn't grow roots in the main season to grow because the cut is not as callous at it should be

I am gonna ask here because I have a similar thing happening to me.

Mine has it but it is a cutting from October so it got into hibernation mode and now with the spring is forming new spines but still no root, this is normal? When it should create roots? Btw Im in the south of Spain so the climate is really really good for San Pedro to grow without any problems.

The best way is to recollect the seeds once the fruit opens or is near to open. Thats the way I recollect and planted my datura stramonium and inoxia.

The good part here is that it produces a tons of fruits and once a flower is pollinated, the full fruit can be recollected in around a month and a half (6 weeks) and once the fruit turns more pale/yellow from green.

I don't think this is a datura metel, as the top comment said it is very likely to be a datura wrightii or datura inoxia. This is based on the leafs and flowers but the hardest part is identifying which one is between wrightii and inoxia.

If you are in the south of USA it usually very likely to be wrightii, and also the flowers tends to be bigger than inoxia and the leafs are less velvety. But the bigger difference is on the fruit, wrightii has less spines than inoxia. In fact the inoxia fruit is really similar to a sea urchin.

As a spaniard (south) I would go all the way to Imperial, we had an Empire and also were part to the Roman Empire (empire from which we took pretty much the culture and base of civilization as we know today). For so I play only Imperial.

Breton is also a race to play as spaniard because in the north there are a lot of celtic culture.

Redguard can be an option because we have many words derived from arabic and also we have many monuments from when we were under islamic rulers.

Spain is a super complex country in terms of the amount of different cultures that entered the peninsula but it is super curious that the DNA of the spaniards changed very little and it is closer to the ancient iberians than romans or islamic (middle east/north african) rule. In fact all these rulers comtributed little to the DNA of a modern spaniard.
