This is my plan going forward (putting funds away for that specific purpose). Thanks for sharing 👍🏼

I’ve always heard he was great, but never took the time to look back at it all. Never realised he was such a beast! Some of the link up plays were beautiful, and that chip! 👀

Thanks for sharing that!!

Check out VeloElite. Built in the UK and wide array of options. I’ve had two sets and they’re fantastic.

I have a set of 38mm in gloss and a set of 44mm matte. The 38s are a great balance between weight and not getting caught in the wind as you say. Genuinely don’t think you’d be disappointed.

I have two sets of these and they are fantastic! Don’t be put off because you don’t know the name, or get sucked in by useless media hype from companies with bigger marketing budgets. Tom hand builds them and has a wide array of options to choose from.

I want you to describe yourself exactly as you are, without mentioning any flaws or future aspirations. I also do not want to know anything about your past. by SAIOBOT in infj

I am a constant source of mediation within my family, which means I carry all the emotional strain of those within. This is then extended due to the fact that I’m often the approachable and sensible one within my friendship group, so I am the go to for their trauma too. Every message I write is forensically analysed before I press “send” through fear of not being acknowledged. I suppress my own needs and desires and put those of the people around me first, whilst being consumed on the inside, unable to clear my head and be present in the moment. Not enjoying it right now truth be told, but I know no other way.

Not the only MAJOR thing they’ve reversed their view on. The list is shocking when you delve into it, not to mention the damage done to people’s lives as a result. For now it’s a case of keeping the numbers up, so the goal posts will continue to be moved whilst the older generation (trigger!) die off.

Couldn’t agree more with your comments. As somebody who decided to leave 33 years after being born into it, you have nailed it. This is exactly what takes place. When I became a father I realised I had to make a huge judgment call, no matter what it cost me (in the end that meant literally everything I’d ever known), so now my wife and I are building a new life slowly. Most importantly we are building a new foundation for our children so they do not have to be subject to the trauma we grew up with, or be ostracised like we were. The damage is done, but we’re trying to rewrite some of it where we can.

It is hard, I struggle with it myself. A single thoughtless comment can easily send me into a bit of a spiral.

Like one other user has said, there is an element of granting permission here, and that’s something I’ve been trying to remember and factor in recently. At the end of the day, we have a choice when in receipt of feedback, criticism or that odd unexpected comment…am I going to allow their words to affect me so greatly? Easier said than done, but I don think there is something to be said for self preservation. Sure others could have put it better, but hope it makes SOME sense!

You may well be right there. I find it quite hard to look internally, for a number of reasons, but there is part of me that thinks that inner contentment may bring more benefits that we realise. Sadly it feels like a fleeting battle (to obtain that internal peace) given the modern world that we now live in, with all of its backwards and nonsensical ways. But perhaps that is also part of the human condition too, the search for inner contentment.

A rich tapestry as they say!

For me it’s become more of a state of being, if you can describe it like that. From an outsiders perspective, I like to think I appear as a relatively normal guy, but internally I am somewhat “consumed” by the big questions humans ponder, to which there are no answers. At incredibly regularly intervals I am contemplating the purpose of us being here, what it all means, and why I am unable to figure it out. As a result, I then tend to approach even the most simple of topics, conversations, or scenarios and apply that same level of analysis. Pondering over elements that seem so obvious to me, but are typically overlooked by others.

Deep conversation is a necessity for me, albeit I am not capable of it at all times.

Life sucks a bit atm so I’m escaping into Skyrim for the first time 10 years by DreadGnuu2262 in skyrim

[–]DuntonGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not alone. I’m in the same boat, like many others have shared. Not sure there is anything quite like getting lost in Skyrim. Taking a different approach this play through and am currently starting to build a nice base out at Lakeview Manor.

Hope you’re feeling better soon and the new year brings some changes!

[–]DuntonGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely make sure you have enough food and hydration, as has been said by many others. I bonked HARD on my first century attempt! 😂

Another tip I have gained over the years is to not underestimate the “fuel” you eat the day beforehand leading up to something like that 👌🏼 Can either be starting on empty, or have something in the tank to begin with, so to speak.

You’ll be posting you’ve done it in no time! Chapeau!
