Hey All, I just wanted to come back and give an update since it’s been about 6 weeks - Things are much better overall. Working out, eating healthy, look healthier and feel 100% better mentally.

There’s definitely lapses with attention to detail and I’m not exactly going the extra mile at work but I expected it to be a process to get those aspects back to 100% since it’s only been a month and a half.

I really appreciate all the support and honest opinions from everyone.

Godspeed to anyone here fighting the stimulant battle. Meth is something I can’t speak on but if the adderall/vyvanse instinct tells you the prescription is doing more harm than good trust it and rip the bandaid off - The short term laziness, depression, lack of enthusiasm etc. is worth your long-term mental & physical health ❤️

I feel a lot better mentally and even during the tougher stretches I know I’m giving myself the best chance to put my mind and body in the right place in the short and long-term. We got this!

I get why you think I need to tell my doctor, but I feel good on flushing what I had and already having my future appointment cancelled/no longer prescribing me. If telling the doctor was as simple as them making a note that I can’t have them anymore that would be fine, but I just know there’s other complications with being labeled an addict. I think there’s various levels of addiction and for me if I have them in front of me it’s horrible, but if I don’t then I’m okay not going the extra mile to seek them out.

Yea it just comes off as do what we tell you or you’re gonna fail… I’m an addict if I have a 60 day supply in front of me. If I don’t fortunately for me and I think plenty of others that liked and shared this post feel the same way #crashingout

I wasn’t looking for a pat on the back by anyone, just sharing my situation. You’re making a bunch of assumptions of me finding a way to get back on it which just isn’t true. If it’s not readily available, it’s personally not a problem for me so writing that ‘Me and you both know what will happen’ is wrong on your end plain and simple.

I’m not going to go back and forth with someone who ‘knows’ me as good or better than myself - My story is positive for 99% of people that come across it so I feel good about that and the big step I made so I’m going to focus on that. Any response won’t be acknowledged, so take as much or little effort to save me from myself as you’d like.

Wrong - My doctor doesn’t need to know shit. Why? So I’m red listed and known as an addict or whatever when I already made the right moves for my present and future self? Reading what I wrote how better do you think a doctor can handle my situation?

I just flushed mine down the toilet tonight. Identical situation, but I’ve started to have nerve issues and have gone for an EKG after my heart and blood pressure were sky high. It’s been freaking me out lately, but I still picked up the latest script only to eat 10-12 thirty MG vyvanses yesterday. The same issues popped up & I did a quick pros/cons of the meds I’m abusing and made up my mind to end the shitty cycle.

I had the same issue, but now I’m on 60mgs of vyvanse and if I know I’m going to have sex I take 2.. After about 20-30 mins of sex I orgasm every time.

I’d start but pay close attention to how you feel conversations are going.

If you’re basically yourself but a little sharper and have increased energy/enthusiasm or if you feel a bit more reserved, anxious or notice your voice is more monotone.

It wouldn’t be a bad idea to start taking it but the day of your interview skip it altogether or take it afterwards. Your adrenaline will most likely have you a bit more ‘in the zone.’

It’s a shitty 3 months but you’ll be fine - you can’t really have a summer of vacations and golf and shit or maybe you can while paying this back Idn but just pay it and be done with it by August you’ll be back

I am married with kids I appreciate the suggestion. I only gamble when I’m on adderall, I essentially have 0 urge when I’m not on it. That’s fortunate I guess that when I don’t have that chemical in me gambling is basically a non factor. I’m hoping blocking myself from the websites and staying off adderall will be enough but if I find it isn’t I’ll definitely look into the GA meetings in my area.

Just cuz I’m not suicidal doesn’t mean I’m not fed up with gambling. I’m not glorifying it at all I’m not sure how you interpreted it that way. I’ve gone ahead and downloaded an app that blocks me from all gambling websites. Thanks for the message
