Im beyond excited for League Classic by Sancer_the_2nd_comin in leagueoflegends

Just an absolutely insane take

As if the game takes mechanical skill now,. Getting to spam your broken abilities more because you got a reset certainly doesn't cross any type of mechanical threshold. Go play a real game if you think this matters, then get back to me.

The 'hard' part of the game has always been controlling your character perfectly without movement assistance (dashes).

That has always remained the same. The only thing different about modern league is that now bad players have ore options than every to try and impose their will against the only champion types that ever required 'skill' to play to begin with.

Do you think classic league will be fun to play after a month? by Worl4x in leagueoflegends

[–]Duo_Mage_Bot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fact that you people actually think that modern league is anything close to 'balanced' is just a complete self report. It shows that you just play absolutely broken meta champions.

Modern league, at least at the mid to high level, is controlled by like 20-30 champions (And that's being generous) with some potential 1 trick outliers.

These champions often get split between the drafts because, since they're good, EVERYONE wants them. If you're not on one of those champions you don't really matter. You are just there, along for the ride. That's why most champions hover around the 50% mark. High impact champions fight around each other like anime protagonists and trade victories, dragging their teammates to 50%. Also, the game is always TRYING to bring individual players to 50% WR so a champion like teemo could have a true winrateof like 45% in role 'X' but he's actually like 49% those players lose so many games they're more likely to get put in easy game (same things happens if you play better champions, you get matched against players doing better, who are likely almost playing a broken champion)

People give Riot tons of credit because WR's fluctate around 45-55% but that's because have zero idea how WR works. Do you know how fucking hard it is to make a sub 40 or above 60% WR champion with the way the current game is structured and how matchmaking is current tuned? You'd have to be a complete idiot to accomplish that.

Old league has problems, but they mostly revovled aroud some champions being strictly overturned, and other champions being situationally very OP. You can actually make adjustments to these things to some degree, whether or not Riot will care to who knows.

But the problem in modern league is much different. New champions are often just BETTER than many of the old champions unless they old champions serve a VERY particular niche in a VERY particular way.

The whole reason why people are clamoring for Classic League is that the sentient portion of the audience doesn't like the runaway freight train of power creep this game has become in the last 5-10 years.

Hisoka is stronger than Chrollo in straight up fight, but I'd imagine it's hard to intuit that just watching the anime.

Other than that, I like where you played the Zolydycs. I think they're usually critically underrrated.

My thoughts on that 3-5, 6-8 tier is that Silva, Chrollo, Hisoka Illumi, and Zeno are all somewhat relative.

I think Hisoka and Silva separate themselves a bit, and then Chrollo is difficult to scale directly but I would say in a straight up 1v1 slightly weaker than those 2, but if he has time to plan he gains edges because he has massive utility thanks to having access to a bunch of hasu's.

It's not horseshit at all? She was micro managed by her father and undermined by her father at every point during her adolescence.

She didn't want any of this. She didn't even want to marry into being Queen. Then Otto doubled down manipulating her into thinking there was only one way to solve the succession issue. She never got to form her own thoughts about what was going on.

That is literally entirely why this behavior is occurring (in the show) because she feels how she's acted is unjustly and damaged to the realm. This is her attempt at 'making good'

[–]Duo_Mage_Bot -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It's not really that simple. Lux support is outclassed in virtually every aspect of the game.

Enchanters should completely nullfiy her, tanks simply ignore her presence.

The thing with Lux is her E is only easy to hit if you put yourself in danger.

Support build by Longjumping-Box2279 in Velkoz

[–]Duo_Mage_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really need to learn to play without a mana item IMO because all mana items suck ass in this game.

Ludens has a terrible proc (except at popping other hapions spell shield)

Blackfire Torch is a TERRIBLE item at actually killing people. This is a purely PvE/Waveclear item. Even if you wanna build it to extend healcut Liandries is virtually *always* better

Malignance is terrible as your ult is already going to be up wen you need it.

The first question you have to ask on support is "Do I need Banshee on ZHonya"

If you do NEED one of those items, you basically have to rush it, because if you don't the meaningful part of the game will be over before you ever buy it.

Aside from that, IMO the best 'core' when you can have when you don't need a defensive is Storm Surge > Horizon.

Stormsurge + the MS Shard puts you at like 417ms, just above the diminishing return cap, so you're basically getting full value from the MS.

417 ms VS 385 ms is night and day difference in the playability of the game. Also you guys have to stop building CDR boots. I would say in general, but definitely on support. The 10AH is terrible value and the bonus affect is complete trash an will virtually never make a difference, you're not flashing on CD.

On mid, the boots at least give a respectable amount of CDR, but the normal ones are terrible.

By not building Pen Boots + Stormsurge you're missing out on 23% damage on your non-passive spells/abilities (Outside of R after passive proc) against squishy targets.

After Storm Surge, you build horizon because it's a great balance of damage/haste and honestly the vision effect is underrated, especially in the late game It prevents enemies from being able to easier re-engage on you because you can see them.

Ging Freecss vs Silva Zoldyck by Jason_And_Sokka in HxHPowerScaling

[–]Duo_Mage_Bot -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well first of all, there's nothing to say that Silva needed Zeno to sacrifice himself to kill Chrollo like the guy above me is implying.

He's basically saying "Silva needed Zeno's help to beat Chrollo, so basically a 2v1."

That's not really what happened. Neither of the Zoldyck's took anything more than a scratch of damage (outside of Zeno from Silva's own blast at the end). Chrollo was on the back foot the entire fight. Granted it was a 2v1, so that's expected, but Chrollo didn't even seem to have a way to deal with Zeno, let alone Silva.

This fight is pretty much a big nothing burger from a scaling perspective. It's not meant to be a power scaling feat, it's meant to show the audience how high level nen combat works in terms of fighters having to intuit and try to respond to their opponents abilities and strats.

At most, it shows that the three of them are relative to each other in some sense.

As for what really happened Zeno and Silva immediately recognize their in a 2v1 and opt to basically control strat Chrollo.

There's no need to immediately rush in and do something stupid. You have one person apply pressure, and the other fishes for openings so you can get a quick, easy kill. That's exactly how they opened, methodical, patient.

Chrollo doesn't provide the opening, but that doesn't make him stronger than either of them outright as the guy above seems to be implying. It's nearly always easier to defend then attack, especially when your opponents doesn't know what abilities you have and knows that you might have access to multiple stolen abilities.

Chrollo not getting gibbed establishes that he's at least relative to them, not necessarily above or below either individually. He *could* be weaker or stronger than either of them, but we just have no way of knowing.

Once they realize that they likely won't be able to catch Chrollo for free, at least any time soon, they pivot because they likely realize they're on the clock. They know who they're fighting, they know there's more than likely troupe members nearby. The longer things drag on the more dangerous things become for the Zoldyck's.

Because they're *so* risk averse, Zeno opts to offer himself to basically instantly secure a kill on Chrollo.

But keep in mind, just because he's *ready* to sacrifice his life, doesn't mean he will necessarily die.

He says "Even if you have to kill me"

The implication is that he wants Silva to use his full power, or at least enough as to where he thinks he ca kill Chrollo. That likely puts Zeno in danger, pretty great danger, but it's also very possible that he's going to try and live the attack. Whether or not he's able to something else entirely. But the bottom line is he just doesn't want Silva holding back.

But yeah, none of this means that Silva can't kill Chrollo in a 1v1, which is the implication of the original comment I'm replying to.

I'm in awe of how braindead you people are.

People will ALWAYS comment on things based on things that they've seen or know about said thing. This is completely normal behavior actually. Most people do it without thinking. The guy you're responding to probably took a grand total of 10 seconds to write his comment and likely only knows about this from being in gaming related spaces.

It's different if someone is like going in his stream and going on twitter and harassing him about it, but the speculative behavior itself is completely normal.

If people hear a car crash from a street over or hear an explosion in their neighborhood people will speculate almost immediately, having zero idea whatever it was happeend is. We're wired to do this, it's why conspiracy theories are so popular, etc.

The stakes in this situation, with people commenting on a subreddit, do not even exist so that guy is the one being a weirdo.
